A real pity for May, who could get less minutes. I could go from 3 Roosters, to 0 at the bye.

Yeah mate, as a Warrior sufferer, I am very happy to see Tohu back at his best again, was sad last year.

I just hope the coach and the rest of the team keep up with his effort, often they don't.

I am not at all trying to say don't get him, for some he is ideal, people will be trading out BSmith in droves this week, and quite a few Cleary potentially, so Tohu will be a target.

I would rather fix problems and make cash if I have to trade. I'll chase guns later in the year.

As someone who missed the games yesterday, a few questions:

    What happened with Brandon Smith?
Was CNK looking anything like capable of producing a decent score before going off?
Is everyone who missed the changes in team lists bringing in Preston next week?

Played Cheese, and I have Katoa and Trindall at 18-19. Just a shit show

I went from 60k at the covid break in 2020 with about 7 guys worth of dead weight I had to get rid of, to top 2k overall (and I'm pretty shit so that was a good result), easy to turn it around

Preston should be everyone's top trade in target this week if you don't already have him.

Going to be about $280k with a negative BE and should average around 50 for the season, makes him $400k+ undervalued and likely to get there pretty fast.

    This season's Max King.

BS9 back/muscle problem. Had a needle at half time, they said he could return if really needed. Warriors got within 6 though and he didnt. He was trying to warm up on the sideline and didnt look great.

CNK didn't look like doing much at all tbh. Not sure what to do there as i dont have spare cash and would need to downgrade someone to facilitate it. E Butcher hasn't scored super but he'll probably start turning out 50's as soon as he's traded. BMM does look fairly likely though, obviously we'll see today what minutes he's looking at but i think he'll get them.

Talau might be the cashy I let go through to the keeper that I regret, if he goes great today. But I was willing to take that risk, I could not bring myself to run 3 x trash CTR options and Warbrick at FB as well.

I'm pretty sure close to the 30min mark CNK was on 3 points from 30 running metres and that was it

Smith took another hit to the upper torso area. Said in a post game interview that he was fine all week and he's now done something to his back, he's not sure what, some kind of muscle strain. It's possible he was full of shit and aggravated his ribs, but it doesn't really matter because he's a sell in any case you would think.

I wasn't watching CNK closely but did nothing remarkable as far as I can remember. Preston looking like a must have. Started and played 80 on the edge and has the game for fantasy. Only caveat is returning players. I think he holds it, but you never can be sure.

If Bird gets good minutes, without a huge score today, I should have just enough cash to go:
    Butcher > Bird
    May > Walsh

Would mean I miss the HTF single digit game without a try and leave me with a much better balanced team of.

    Mahoney
    Harris Carrigan Cotter
    Hopgood Preston
    Douehi Trindall
    Bird Alamoti
    Ponga Walsh Miller

    Tapine NAS Carty Boyd
    Warbrick Katoa HSS Talau

Smith out Preston in are pretty much certainties for me.

Then Uto will probably have to go for a hooker, Mahoney I guess, although might not even be able to afford that and would have no mid cover if Ford is out.

    Need four trades...

Sure hope Hynes will take another week off too

Yeah that's gonna play a big part in my trades. I'll only have Boyd and IKatoa if Trindall loses the starting spot, so would probably look at grabbing the Pongdong. Cleary to DCE an option, but I'm gonna hold my guns and make those kinda trades later in the season if I have any left.

BMM and Bird the others on the watchlist this arvo, but need to see where Bird ends up with Jack the Bellend due back next week.

The fact the Sharkies are the last game of R3 is intriguing re Hynes, TLT will sort it out.

Yeah Hynes in the 18-21 hanging over everyone all weekend would be interesting.

On Uto and Talau watch today (unless one of them becomes BMM or Ponga beforehand).

Just been checking out Uto and have realised I bought him with 2021 goggles on. Based on his back end to 2021, I thought he was going to be a gun. What surprised me in the stats is that he has not had an attacking stat since 2021, and that he averages only 1 tackle bust per game since 2021 finished.

I think we should know early. (assuming there is no funny business going on) Fitz has been pretty clear that they want him to get a full week of training load in before he will be good to go. Any hesitations and he won't play. I reckon Trindall gets another week.

Especially since Trindall probably makes the bench, with Graham out.

Best to run him in 14-17 just in case, can swap him with HSS if named on the bench and take the cash gains from a negative BE, without taking a score of 10 points.

Could someone please explain to this old man how to calculate the price value of a player, based on their scores in future rounds, on MTB's website?

As an example I want to know how much Hodgson is going to lose this week
