No I said Hughes may kick for him, and he did a couple times. Don't put words in my mouth

Without any sarcastic answers - is it crazy to have some sort of bye strategy in mind? Should people just assemble a team without considering byes at all? Just wait until round 8 and have a bit of a think about origin?

If you are interested in Bird as premium CTR, does it make more sense to have him from the start, or to have a think about how to get him in?

I have all the key bye rounds planned already, with names being traded out and in to get max bye coverage and scoring, with minimal trades. Helps to know the destination, to make sure you get there.

Not too bad of a start for the bender, 3/202.
Bit disappointed in not picking up Grant but seen they chucked a hooker on last hour and panicked.
Still, glad my quiet smoky the humble bin chicken came up trumps.

Given your predictions for Carty before, you must be over the moon with his 55pts this week
Around here if you say what you really think your fantasy picks could achieve, you get shot down, why I was using a conservative 45 for Carty for recent comparisons.

I think in 3/4 weeks unless you have a Trindall/Carty quick price riser that urgently needs selling where is the cash for all of these players coming from? Feels like a lot of these trades would need to be sideways moves so I think if these were players you wanted that early they should be in your team from rd1.

Serious question - how many specific names and rounds do you have planned out? I'd be interested to know how many of them end up happening

Personally I have no specific trades planned, but I do have some vague plans. I'm keeping an eye on Trbo and Bird (and to a lesser extent, Keppie), but no definitie trade out to get them

I know roughly what rounds some players are going to be most effective to trade in or out - but without knowing what their price will be at the time, or the price of the players I may want to trade out - actually planning a specific trade seems trouble.

I am fine if Carty gets 3 x 80 minute games average 50, with a massive negative BE, then 3 games of 50 minutes off the bench for a 30 average - some for Matterson, some for Doorey maybe. Makes $150k in the first 3 rounds, then some more the next 3 rounds before trading him out. Maybe $250kish total. Hurts Doorey a lot when Lane is back.

Mate I love the optimsim! Happy if that's true. Carty 50 mins off the bench when Lane and Matterson are back? Don't think so, more like fuck all but enough for one more price rise. BUT, sometimes there's something that keeps them going, an injury, a suspension. Anyway, congrats! Let the party continue! cheer

Sims due in next week, makes a big difference for them, King likely first to lose minutes then.

But you locked in those points in your 17 right? (He is up to 56 points now)
Similar to Trindall you get the points and value so you obviously played him there
    Nice start

The current overall leader is "Smythe Game1 Champ" with 914 points

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even log into hi steam again after tonight

I didnt say that, I said Carty drops minutes when Matterson back and starts at EDG, Lane is due back later.

Unless he smashes it for the next month, Carty is unlikely to be fantasy useful when both Lane and Matterson are playing.  Doorey looks to be preferred longer term (although its of course possible for Carty to play his way into the team - but does Brad Arthur overvalue offloads to hand and turnover tackles as much as Fantasy does?)

Why does Doorey look to be preferred long term option? Literally played one game.

Thanks Matt for the carty chat. Got me on board. Hope he gets decent minutes for a few more weeks at least.

I'll just start tomorrow's burning question right now shall I.

Is it worth trading TMM to Sloan to loop in Cartwright's score?

I think one of the bench players he replaces will lose the most minutes when he returns….
