Fifita has newcastle and warriors. I like his chances. He could do nothing for 75 mins of both games and still score 75+ in both

Channel 9 reporting Roosters have signed Jaxson Paulo for 2023

    Few thoughts on the matter

    - finally gets to join a professional club after "developing" at what is basically an amateur club
    - depends on the money but assuming he is signed as a Naiqama replacement on similar cash it's not terrible
    - please keep him away from first grade

With no replacement for Aitken, I'm playing with 16 anyway.

I was just thinking they were a pretty good match, second tier winger for a second tier club. Keep both away from first grade I say!

Lol the chookpen forums are a good place to be right now after all the carry on and name calling they gave him last week. Some on there still saying it’s not true and the link is false!

What led you to pick Lane when you did. It was an inspired choice and he was nowhere on my radar.  Interested to learn from the best!

Traded him in for round 17. His last 5 scores at that point were all 50+ with 3 of them being over 60 so looked like a pretty safe bet.

I lol'ed at your lol at the time and sat back smugly thinking "Shaun Lane, it'll never last' and chuckling quietly....then I switched my attention to trading in Payne Haas for Ming

Anyone wanting another centre it seems Burbo is starting tomorrow but there's a bit of conflict across different sources if he's playing centre or second row.

Edit: looks like second row at the moment.

    I think a special mention should be made to honour the Dragons in their efforts to ensure half of the names in their 22 man squad begin with J;

    Jack Bird
    Jack De Belin
    Jack Gosiewski
    Jackson Ford
    Jaiyden Hunt
    Jayden Sullivan
    Jaydn Su'A
    Jonathon Reuben
    Josh McGuire
    Joshua Coric
    Josh Kerr

    Notably, there are 4 Jack's, 3 Josh's and 3 Jaydn/Jayden/Jaiyden

Bonus tidbit; if you're thinking of naming your baby Jayden, other alternatives include Jaydan, Jaydyn, Jaydon, Jaydin, Jaden and any other variants you care to make up.

    Thoughts about Lane.

People were dismissive of him, as he'd had purple patches in the past, but ultimately burned a lot of people. What was different this time such that he ascended into gun status?

Was it Matto being played through the middle? In the past he'd been the edge but was a change of role for Matto the key?

Related to the above, was it iPap being so dangerous on an edge that BA was forced to bring someone else through the middle to keep him out there?

Was it the way his "purple patch" was being scored? Lots of minutes and lots of base as opposed to the try scoring of the past?

Was it the opposite of above where Lane was getting more attacking stats than years past, and the Eels being a better and more consistent side helping that?

Was it Dylan Brown taking more responsibility in attack, a buy signal for his corresponding back rower?

What do you guys think, because in the future id like to buy and not miss this kind of opportunity.

I teach a kid named Kaydn so I'm sure Jaydn is an option as well. Fuck vowels aye.
