How do Panthers players fight on here? With the minor premiership all but locked up, 12 men for the rest of the night, a score already piled on, what gets you up?

General competitiveness? Pride? Anger? Due diligence?

Still have to go thru with the 2nd trade this week to have a competitive 27. 3rd extra trade will be Cleary next week. Out of trades by R22 and finishing around 10k seems pretty inevitable now. It’s a funny game

Geez, Parra suck against "lesser teams" but they do love to give it to the Panthers.

I'm a neutral, but gotta say I'd be happy for the Eels to break their 30+ year premiership drought.

I personally don't see Penrith winning it this year. Yes might be controversial, but with Luai out potentially 6 weeks and Cleary now a few their finals momentum will be all off and I can see another team like Cows/Sharks or a smokey like Eels, Storm or Broncs going on a run and taking that into finals is huge for winning the thing.
Plus winning back to back is real tough

Professional sportspeople tend to be pretty competitive characters, yes.

Manly were great after Lawton got sent but I’m not sure Cleary is the kind of coach who can get the boys up like Des.
