As one of the few who are yet to get Cleary, I need to build cash and I can see three ways of going.

1:  This week Nanai out for Ofa/Klem/Ipap and next week Tapine/Cotter/Robson out for Cleary

2: As opton 1, but bring forward the trade out of Tap/Cotter/Robson for a cheapie.  Enough cash for Edrick to Cleary next week in an upgrade for the ages.

3: Nanai to cheapie this week and someone like McInnes/Harris to Cleary next week.

One thing to keep in mind is you most likely have an extra week to get funds for Cleary.

Panthers have omitted a bunch of players from NSW Cup this weekend that happen to play the exact positions as their Origin players. So looks like Cleary and co. will be rested R18.

EDIT: here's the NSW Cup team, 7 of those 9 outs look like direct Origin player replacements.

Yeah I know it's nothing new, he's definitely trying to line up an opportunity, before he resigns from office entirely.

But Scomo got sacked from two national tourism bodies before politics, and was perhaps the laziest Prime Minister ever. He's not very employable even compared to most of his colleagues, at least at a level anywhere near where he's accustomed. Even so, ARL commission is a pretty low bar he's unable to jump.

Would like to know whether he thinks Nikora's tackle was a hip drop tho.

    .

None of that is at all relevant for the sort of job/cushy board position that he'd be getting lined up for.

The collapse of the Storm mean that Penrith are all but assured the minor premiership.

They'll be focusing on getting everyone ready for finals. Last year they limped in a little bit and only scraped through for most of their finals campaign - this year they'll be looking to go in with better form and fitness

I feel even it's a bit limiting in what he can get lined up for. Can get ARL commission (maybe) but can't get a banking or mining sector lobby job, or international diplomatic role, or anything in academia or a think tank, like so many of his ex-colleagues and opponents in parliament.

This is some high-brow Friday arvo shitposting btw.

Scomo is technically still in parliament - doesn't actually need his retirement fund. I mean isn't the fucker still squatting in Kirribilli house?

Its guys like Frydenberg/Tim Wilson that are more in need of some kickbacks

Boys can you tackle the hooker at the ruck before he passes?

    Or dive at the pass?

Boys played last night and kept getting scragged by first marker? Obvious way around it is play the ball walking through marker and playing the ball further back but i didnt think you could interfere with play the ball unless there is no hooker?

Injury wise,   not expecting Moylan to complete the entire season.  Trindall could be useful

Hynes is a bit of a fantasy points vaccuum. There aren’t any points left to go around when he’s playing so even if Moylan went down I’d still expect Hynes to do everything.

Unless the rule has changed, I was always taught to advance/tackle as soon as the dummy half touches the ball

Diving at the ball on the deck though? Didn't think you could

tackle ruck receiver soon as he gets hands on the ball if they start square at marker yes?

Never mind though, boys need to be more streetwise, need a longer heel on the play the ball and need to walk through the marker.

Still beat last years champs though and boys only played handful of league matches, still learning the ropes

Yep. Pretty sure this rule was enforced in the NRL earlier in the year? You can't dive on the ball, you have to make an effort to pick it up off the ground.
Weird rule but that's what it is at the moment in the NRL.

Nah can’t do any of what you describe Welshy IMO. Unless you’re Ben Hunt vs the Raiders, then it’s rightly allowed
