People have a lot of trades, feels like the extra 4 has actually made people more conservative.

Don’t recall so many people with 8+ trades post Origin previously

Part of it may also be that there seems to have been a lot less carnage to Fantasy relevant players this year - not a lot of injuries, suspensions are out of fashion again, etc

Thanks mate, yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards too, and think I can probably justify a sideways trade with 5 (+4) still in the bank.

Does this plan make sense/seem reasonable?

    This week trades:

    Ming + Tago

    To

    Pappy, pole

Leaves me with 11 rd 17 players. 7 trades and $329 itb.

Next week, assuming no injuries and droppings etc.

    Trades will be.

    Penis + Jing

    To

    cook + someone around $480k

That will leave me for run home. With 5 trades (not including the +4)

    Cook
    Matterson, Elliot, Barnett
    Ipap, angus
    Cleary, dce
    Aitken, koula
    Pappy, hynes, May

    Robson, Mahoney, Mam, savage

    480k , Pole, Leo, volkman

14 onwards is weak, but with 9 trades to use between rd 17 and finish. There should be opportunities to build on them.

    This seem cromulent?

As a consequence of holding Haas & Cotter, plus being low on trades, am looking at 2nd tier guns and the likes of Mitchell

my tv broke wrote:Palasia should put up a decent score this week, maybe next week as well. Problem is he likely goes back to small mins off the bench which is less useful than a red dot.

Hosking probably gets one game, maybe two, and is never seen again. He should score reasonably well this week though.

Related but Piakura is extremely unlucky with injury. Every time a spot opens up for him he seems to pick up a minor injury. Copped a HIA last weekend in Q Cup and ruled unavailable this weekend... would have started (with Robati also getting injured), but instead it is Hosking that gets the opportunity.

I was wondering why Piakura was nowhere to be seen, poor bastard.

I'm kinda liking both Palasia and King Hoss as cashouts that could score well. I've done alright on Broncs cashouts over the origin period in past. Bit sceptical of FU on a Pole and not sure if Moale's stocks rose at all.

I'd probably be looking at Grant instead of Cook and using the savings to upgrade Mam or Savage

I messaged FanHub and asked what their process is for adding players to the system. Pole was added mid round last week and so I couldn’t cash out Billy Smith to him to facilitate my other trades as my targets played in the first couple of games. Ended up having to cash Koula to Kennedy instead which I’m a bit gutted about.

Extra annoying that he went well and I’m not getting him at base price this week.

The response from FanHub “it’s all fine because he is in the system now” Rolling Eyes

I suspect their support team don’t actually play the game or understand how it works…

They said on TL podcast some field near the venue was a pool. Is Latrell a wet track bully?

P.S. people on Discord are whining about footystats BEs not up to date

Yeah this. I'd even consider whether you can get better returns out of Latrell + 200k than Pap and use that cash to upgrade Mam/Savage.

Thinking about putting together a list of things less relevant than BEs at this point of the season.

My first reaction was of course to perform an interpretive dance of irrelevance as a direct comparison, but that would end up being interesting for my co-workers and defeat the point.

So I thought I'd stay fantasy linked and present "Fantasy players with equivalent relevance to the concept of a break-even in round 17", redux

Garner with a lazy 50, might be a good option for the paupers without Burton/Aitken combo.

The TL podcast run a good show, but their knowledge/skill (whilst improving due to brute force) isn't great.

Yeah leaning there. Trell is really just for fun, will be in the loop more often than not I think. Hoping Frizell can match other more expensive options, especially with Brailey back - might help
