This scoreline probably flattering Tonga. Maybe the first time their forwards have been dominated and really exposes their spine.

Amone is 19 and plays like home brand Luai for the Dragons. Here he being asked to do all the kicking off the back of zero go forward.

Koula at best the 3rd choice FB for his club.

Staggs needs a full offseason to look like a 5/8

Havili plays as a middle for Souths and Soni Luke is the 3rd best hooker at the Panthers.

I think instead of worrying about challenging Aus and NZ at the WC, Tonga need to be looking over their shoulder at Samoa.

Jeez I hope Manu gets a chance to play fullback regularly somewhere at NRL level. A bit like Hynes at halfback, he's just too bloody good not to.

Yeah he’s a top 5-6 FB just as a fill in

NZ best 17 look very good. Don’t have the depth of the Aussies, but if they were playing us next week it’d be 50/50

Probably should have won that by more tbh. I thought we played the conditions poorly in the second half. Still a great win. Genuine world cup contenders if we can keep this team fit? That has to be up there with the best ever Kiwi spines.

Maybe I'm just scarred by years of losses, but I'd still have it 60/40 Australia. Teddy/Munster/Cleary/Grant with Latrell running off it somewhere (I assume Turbo is out?) just looks so scary if they're all available.

I know I'm not saying anything new, but JFH is so bloody good. Type of guy who could just put the team on his back and carry them to a win in a big WC knockout.

In the first half we brought JFH off and NAS on. Has to be the best 1-2 punch in league. Hate to be the poor bastard who has to defend that.

but on paper NZ dominates the forwards.

But yeah if it’s anywhere near 50/50 in the middle, Aus probably pull away at the end

Probably edge the forward battle, but not sure it's a knockout blow with that Aus spine. What does an Aus pack look like right now?

    8. Tino
    9. Grant
    10. Haas
    11. Kaufusi (?)
    12. Murray
    13. Yeo

    14. Cook/utility
    15. Papa/Paulo
    15. Carrigan
    17. DiFi? Cotter? Crichton?

NZ probably does edge it but that's still pretty bloody handy.

Samoa could be dark horses this WC if they can get To'o, Luai, Taulagi, Paulo, Crichton et al all available.

For those playing along in rep round fantasy, Nofo on 56 in 24 mins and you'd back a lot more to come. Record might be under threat here.

They might be the 3rd best team anyway, just with Milf steering them around
