The application of TS has always been very poor.
You basically have to be held up in goal for it to be a try save.

For instance, following the method they use, when Scott Sattler made his "try saving" tackle in the 2003 Grand final, it would've been worth a single point for the tackle, nothing else.

But then you probably don't remember that one, being still young, handsome and full of hopes and dreams (I.e. you don't support the Tiges)
