I'd be there every week! But we don't have the population base to support it.

The South Island's biggest town, Christchurch, (where all the best fanatics live Wink ) is just on 500K population and a massive Rugby Union city. It also makes Canberra in winter look like the Bahamas!

I guess once the new stadium is built, we can have Rugby League Park back...

Yeah Auckland struggles to sign Aussie talent as it is and has to pay big overs. Chch would be no chance.

Lower cost of housing, still on the same money. Not like Crusaders ever have problems filling their roster.

    Cheers.

    I voted Turbo

Big balls play, huge POD at this stage. He’s not quite bottomed out in theory but maybe he has - could get 80 on a dry track today. There’s something to be said about going one week early on the proven guns.

I got Teddy last week but I’m not convinced he’s necessarily going to be in the top 3-4 WFBs by the end of the season - less appealing with 50k on his price. TB nerf is huge for him, and think the Roosters getting less clunky and improving their combinations would actually damage his scoring - he seems to do way more when they are shit. could be priced at his long term average again already.

Neither is a bad play tho

    He's 105kg and 193cm.

Getting turbo now is a play I really like. A few weeks off should have given him a chance to get rid of whatever niggles he had coming into the season that were massively impacting him. Many won't follow this close to Origin even if he pulls out an 80 this week.

If Turbo had bottomed out he wouldn't have a BE of 80. Of course he could score 80 but his best score so far is 51 with a try 7TBs and 289 run metres.

It's very risky on a player with injury history just back. I waited a few games before jumping on Cleary but he doesn't look as affected by the scoring changes.

Yeah saw a pic the other day of the three Trbos and he’s the biggest. Surprised me too

I expected Harper to start and him to bench, but with Haumole out he’s got his chance. Sea Eagles down to their 5th and 6th choices edges tho.

Because most of the Crusaders talent come from within the region, or you're looking at other New Zealanders, or islanders moving there. That and they've been the best franchise Rugby team in the world pretty much since a couple of years after the dawn of professional rugby. It's like getting to the Storm but better, if you get into the Crusaders, your chances of going on to higher honours grow big time. It has been the best Rugby breeding ground in the world for about 25 years.

Whole different story to trying to lure Australians to move to New Zealand, and not even Auckland but a substantially smaller, significantly colder city, where your sport is significantly less important and the team you're playing for has none of those benefits. You're basically downgrading in every way except money because they'd overpay Aussies like the Warriors, or they take a punt on guys hoping for an opportunity they aren't getting elsewhere at the NRL level.
