(h2h so no need to worry about byes)

TD option seems to be the 'safe' option and TU seems to be a punt on form/upside. Just depends on what risk you want

Just on DCE and Brown, assuming MN is 14,000, at their current prices it's assuming DCE averages 8 points more than Brown. In saying that, Brown's price will go up again while DCE may stay steady and no doubt a punt on Brown continuing his form

He does have a history of having a hot streak and tapering off (60.4 average from R2-7 last year and end of year average of 51.2, or 61.5 average from R2-5 in 2020 then end of year average of 55.8 which is still pretty good)

In terms of an eye test, I think Brown passes that easily and you can argue Round 1 is an outlier with 'first game of the year rust' or whatever. And he does have a very good base of tackles with low misses and a strong running game. Also doesn't rely on kick metres so that nerf hasn't affected him

Saw some comments, not sure if it was here or somewhere else, that he could be this year's Hughes which I can definitely see happening

Also with DCE, note he has averaged about 5 points higher without Turbo in the side. So something to also take into account in the short-term

I'm pondering between DCE and Brown myself as options

Yeah I was actually mad surpised with everyone going for the TD option. I thought being able to hold Fifita will sway people. I rate Brown too got a really good floor but I suppose DCE has all the runs on the board.

Assuming he's named today, he looks good for 4 weeks with Turbo out. Turbo needs surgery and nrl physio thinks that time frame is ambitious, so could get more. Would potentially get rd13 too with Turbo out for origin. He's fast, appears to be first in line for a spot and he's 220k. I'd say the main downside is Manly sucked last year before Turbo was back which could either mean beltings, standing under goal posts, getting dropped or a combination of those.

Also a high likelihood he averages 20 to 25 on the wing. No Tommy, no Manly.

But i am still probably going to grab him.

Think he was on 33 at HT last week. Finished the game on 32 ha.

Yeah I don't think he's a bad buy by any stretch, would probably have a good look if I had the funds. Just not quite 'must have' either.

I agree, not a must have. It's more like a short term relationship (STR).

Positive STR Definition according to NRLFantasy Coaching for Dummies:

In the event that a fantasy coach and a player seemingly are attracted to each other but the player may not hold their position in the team for the duration of the season. A (STR) allows the coach and the player to spend as much time together as possible exploring the ups and downs of the fantasy season until said departure date. They shall live each day up until that point with no regret of fear of the future nor the past, allowing both the coach and the player to truly enjoy the current point in time. Aka (the moment).

Upon departure they will remain friends and always remember the good memories and cash made during the (STR) in hopes they will meet again one day.

The surprise is probably that they name Tommy Turbo at fullback because Des loves to do that kind of crap.

If Moale is named in the absence of Nicholls, will anyone pivot to him as opposed to Koula?

Koula selction permitting I am settled on DFifi and Jing to Cleary a+ Koula.
Sorts out having Cleary and removes the pain in the ass DFifi.
Will be sad to see Jing go, but happy with his 150+ rise in value.
Even if Fifita does me dirty and pulls finger this week, just as likely to dud the following 3 again, whereas Cleary should be good for that run on the weekend.

I like the cut of his jib, but I already have two bench props, and I'm likely not the only one.
