I had to check as I couldn’t remember. It turns out he is my captain this week. It was between him and Hynes. I was so tempted to go DaFita so I’ll VC him to make sure he gets a banner.

    Cleary's historical 1st round scores:

    2017: 33 points vs Dragons
    2018: 69 points vs Eels
    2019: 49 points vs Eels
    2020: 68 points vs Roosters
    2021: 96 points vs Cowboys
    2022: ?? points vs Rabbitohs

So what I'm hearing is that he's been on a steady increase since 2019.

+19 points from 2019 to 2020, +28 points from 2020 to 2021, see no reason he doesn't follow this pattern of +9 year on year and add +37 points from 2021 to 2022.

Lock him in for a breezy 133 (109 before updates).

Agree. Feel like we’re all searching so hard to end up with Gilbert or cotter which won’t end well

Thanks lads.  I guess Hynes just almost got a banner but yeah, all three should be good for 60.  Hynes might be good for a bit if extra security.  Feel Cook is coming good though.

It's risk/reward go Beanz for more of that, or Cook for a stable 60.

Currently playing both, with Tuilagi in the loop. If Tuilagi scores really well, I probably drop Jones. Expecting him to be eased in for his first game of the season

The comment from last game was that King had limited minutes due to injury. I was surprised he didn't play the last 10 minutes, which I think he will most weeks, especially if TPJ has finally moved to EDG.

I was looking at moving Lolo on in the next few weeks and tbh I might as well keep him

he hasn't done so in either of the last two games. the first game of the season they were down to about 9 players so hard to make anything from that.

i'd be surprised if they aren't finishing the game with thompson/jackson/vaughan in most scenarios

I’m surprised that Fermor and Wilton don’t register on the EDG ownership charts at all.

Regardless, the intention seems to be to give him high 30s minutes, which for him is 40-60 points in current form.

Yep, I'd say Wilton remains a massive POD for the season if he retains an EDG spot. Will be well over $600k and ignored by most, who will be focused on getting Cleary.

I think NRL rule changes have more of an impact than Luai (although having Maloney would make a big difference too)

    slower game, lower scoring

    Plus fantasy scoring changes

eg his 106 in R23 against Rabbits last year is a 90 with new the new scoring
Still pretty good score, but its a big difference

His 72 in the Grand Final was actually a 62

A banner in 2022 is a greater achievement
