Bethany_B wrote:Anyone here rate Josh King as a cheapie? 319k is a bit more than most cheapies but by all accounts he's been killing it in pre-season training and there's a huge hole in the Storm pack with Finucane gone, Kamikamica being stood down and NAS being an antivax idiot.

Round 1 I would imagine King plays lock, then back to the bench in round 2, but going off his scores last year, he only needs 35ish mins to average 35-40, and is priced at 28. Given our lack of middle forwards, I think he's a good chance to get those minutes, or potentially more since Cheese would be taking Finucane's minutes so someone would have to fill his own spot on the bench.

Good intel, thanks. There’s definitely got to points somewhere with no Finucane, no Kami and potentially no NAS. I think Welch is probably a bit undervalued but perhaps not enough to pick, so it’s going to be punting on a bench guy like King to get decent minutes

    61k itb

    Starling
    Haas Utoikamanu Hetherington
    TPJ RFM
    Cleary Ilias
    Burton Aitken
    Papy Crichton Coates

    Randall Blore Tago Suaalii
    Moeroa Moale Ese'ese W.Smith

Happy with it. Ideally id have a better starting hooker but Starling/Hetherington/Randall should all increase in value substantially

    First crack:

    Grant
    King, TPJ, RJames
    Fifita, Aitken
    Cleary, Burton
    Suualii, Tago
    Crichton, Papy, Coats

    Cotter, Randell, Ilias, Ese'ese
    240k, 240k, 220k, 220k

Obviously will require some rethinking if not enough cheapies turn up/work out, but could downgrade Grant for those funds

Are you expecting Starling to start or have a significant bench role? Which Hetherington?

I have Starling based on the theory that either Hodgson will leave a year early or start off the bench used as a ball playing lock not affecting Starling so time will tell. It's Kobe Hetherington hok/mid.

    Which Hetherington?
    Spoiler:

Jason Hetherington, formerly of the GC Seagulls! Bring him back!
Brian Hetherington, formerly of the Steelers! There's value there!
Brett Hetherington, formerly of the Raiders! Ran a pub with Brett Mullins!
Rachel Hetherington, played some golf.  Could benefit from the next round of Vlandysball!
    Mad Jack!
    Kobe!

    Everyone!

Just curious as to everyone's thoughts on Utoikamanu this year? Been seeing him pop up in a few drafts. We expecting a larger role for him this year compared to last year?

He really benefitted from his time in Origin camp mid-season, will only keep on improving this year

Twal & Tamou also don't really offer much more than tackles & run metres so Tigers need a middle with something different (more NRL-wise than fantasy)

I'm keeping him on the back burner for sure, goes at around 0.95-1 PPM and he's priced at 45 so if he keeps 55+ minute role he had at the end of 2021 he's a decent pickup.

Also, who doesn't love a watching big fuck off prop?

On Utoi last year from round 1 he looked sharp & very fit & his runs are powerful & the defenses struggle to contain him. He seems like a mini Haas as he seems to have a pretty big motor for such a big man. He's priced at 45 & if he gets 55-60 mins he'll hit 50.
