AFB has averaged 50+ minus a couple of injury games the past 2 seasons and this one currently. Usually priced at mid 600k - 700k+. Looks a steal at 543k.

9x50 is worth a 56 average from someone not playing the bye. I think AFB can average a tick over that without injury.

I think im punting Tohu, but no one worth it this week. Unless I go AFB and raise some cash for Fifita next week.

And there you have it….coming around to this particular move

Why Wilton all of a sudden? What have I missed? Was there an update on Graham or something?

Thoughts on my team and options please?

Team full strength prior to trades is:

    6 trades 77k spare

    Brailey
    Angus Haas Tohu
    CHN Fifita
    DCE Moses
    Manu Bird
    Teddy Walsh Turbo

    Macca Hynes SJ Schuster
    Olakau’atu Verrills Peachey Suaali

Options going through my head are to trade out Bird or Peachey to a Hame Sele or D. Walker tofree uo funds to do a Brailey to IPap trade in round 18 then do a Hynes to Ponga trade in round 19. Then hold 3 trades for the run home between rounds 20-25.

Other thoughts are maybe Bird to Ramien but then mightn’t have cash to do Hynes to Ponga and then cant sell Brailey to Ipap.

Now after hearing Tohu potentially out to round 22 I could trade him out to Ipap next week or I could get Josh Jackson this week but will TPJ affect any of his mins when he goes there soon? Trading Tohu out means I’m still stuck with Brailey though but can decide who to play as 17th man out of Olakau’atu and Brailey and maybe do a loop and take the best score.

Sorry I’m rambling but thoughts on the best move/s to make here please?

Oh and by the way Jax is planning to run with no trades between rounds 21-25, he’s gonna have double/triple cover in every position he says. He’s getting Ramien most likely this week leaving him 3 trades.

I need to make up around 1700 ranks at this point.

Like most on the forum, I've decided to dump Tohu (I'm holding Cleary).
    Tohu becomes AFB
Sualli becomes Ramien for a solid centre cover (current centres are Bird & Burton)
Leaves $99k ITB and 6 trades for any injuries / long suspensions.
Only trade I'm planning is Beanz > Pappy (once he gets back)
If possible, would like to get Watson back in somehow, he'll probably be a trade in if I lose one of my keepers to a season ending injury.
Have 6 for Rd. 17 but that will do me.

Only 6 trades makes it tough. Harris to AFB gives a 300k bank. Taumalolo is another I like, but 70k more expensive.

Peachey, Schuster or Brailey to IPap next week even if going for Taumalolo over AFB and leave 4 trades for the run home maybe.

@Rabbits I forgot the Hynes to Ponga trade you were targeting too, so probably AFB over Taumalolo in that case. Better save those last 3 then.

Yeah, I traded him out last week to pick up BHunt.
Thought Watson's minutes were going down.
Bad call. I was at the game and he's a ppm beast. Coming on after 20 mins or so, he's a bench weapon for the Knights.

I can do Tohu to Lolo and I then have 232k spare. To get Ipap in then costs 168k to get Brailey out then I still have 64k spare for Hynes to Ponga.

Munster surely won’t back up for round so that’s good for Hynes? Re Ponga do we see him backing up round 18?

Yeah that could work, but I'd kinda rather Brailey than Peachey since you have Manu, Bird and Suaalii might get named at convenient times for CTR (or play 1 down).

Peachey at 535k is the cheapest out of Brailey/Schuster/Peach, so AFB gives you some more room. Up to you though if you'd prefer Taumalolo and make it work elsewhere.

Brailey isn't the end of the world with 6 trades left imo, and IPap/Ponga on the target list.

I am toying with idea of trading out Peachey but not sure it’s worth it. With how fast the game is now my concern re AFB is can he keep up like do we think he can avg 50 in the run home? To do that’s he gonna need 55mins a game but with Lodge going there now do we think AFB just stays at the 50mins mark which more makes him a 45 point scorer?

Where you say you’d kinda rather Brailey what’d you mean, do you mean to hold or sell?

Edit: Bird has his one game suspension to come too!

Alright heading into finals next week feeling decent about my team. Thinking of using 3 trades this week which include: Curran -> SJ, Simo -> AFB, Tohu -> Tolman.

Would leave me with this team:

    Brailey
    Ipap AFB Haas
    Angus Fifi
    DCE Hughes
    Averillo Bird
    Teddy Turbo Walsh
    Macca SJ Tolman Watson
    Verills Chambers Kris Suaalii

Thoughts on the team and whether these trades are a good move?

    Anything is appreciated lads!

I'd rather keep Brailey I mean. Starting HK locked in for 80.. Has had a rough past month, but I'm optimistic he can finish strong with Pearce and Ponga back on deck. Especially with only 6 trades left, I think he's worth holding.

I don't think AFB will have a problem averaging 50. He's averaging over 45 this season including an injury game and the return bench game vs. Storm, where mids can often struggle.

Brailey plays Storm next too btw, but after that he'll be sweet Very Happy
