I am not the biggest fan of this. Hope we can work our magic and turn him into a star. Will be a good centre/wing/fb back up.

Hynes gone, Pappy is another head knock away from early retirement.

A signing born out of necessity perhaps

Yeah, got a message at a similar time to your post that Canterbury district soccer is off.

Both myself and the wife worked a day in the city this week, so we're under the stay-at-home orders anyway.

Guessing he's a depth signing, but given you've made Reimis Smith, George Jennings look like quality players I reckon he will be fine.

Oh I fully understand that! I guess I should re-word it as I don’t really rate him as a player, but hopefully we can turn him into the next Pappy/Fox/Brenko.

I think we got a few juniors I am very excited to see over the next couple years.

NSFA took 2 hours to go from "if you have 4 players unavailable we can postpone the game for you" to "everything off this weekend"

Given just working or having visited the city means you are under stay at home order - I am surprised they just didn't do all of Sydney. So many people affected

Pleasantly surprised for by the SJ signing. Not sure we'll be world beaters still, but he's a significant upgrade on what we have for the right price.

If nothing else, SJ/Walsh should be good fun.

Can Nick Meany get nice and cheap please? He'll be the Reimis of 2022.

It's bizarre. They need to do it and stop it being dragged out. No one wants Sydney to have a situation like Melbourne did last year after we tried the local lockdown thing (and it failed miserably).

We are paying SJ about the same we are paying DWZ.

    Let that sink in.

They are on the same pay.

The Black Caps are world champions, SJ is coming home, and the Warriors aren't overpaying for a marquee signing.

It's a good week. Very Happy Very Happy

With apologies to those who are not interested, I'll start to reveal the FF Sheep Results now.
Might be a slow reveal as need to fit in around work and family commitments.
    30 Entrants

Q1: Who is the best player in the NRL.

    Q1:

Right from the get go, it's pretty clear to me that at least 2 players are not seriously trying to be the best sheep.  Fancy thinking that the forum would vote Munster to be the best player in the league.

Q2: What position will MTB finish in fantasy this year. To nearest 250. [ie 1; 250; 500; 750; etc]

Some faith in the famous MTB charge - although only two thought the forum would vote for you to get top 100.

    Q2:

PS: With apologies to those that gave answers inconsistent with instructions, I didn't adjust your entries to fit the scenario. It wouldn't have changed end result.

PPS: I was very grateful to those who sent submissions in a format I could just paste into a spreadsheet.

I for sure thought Turbo would be most popular. I know Cleary is killing it fantasy wise but what Turbo is doing is unreal!

Q3: Who will win the wooden spoon this year?

A two horse race.  Very close.

    Q3:

Q4: Which fanatic do you most want to have a beer with?

    Feels obvious in hindsight.

    Q4:

Q5: What two teams will get knocked out in the Grand Final qualifiers?

My hunch was right - not a single vote for the Panthers or Storm to lose the grand final qualifier.
