Fair call, could be a possibility.

Ive seen rumours that the Titans also lied about the hush money the first time too where as the integrity unit asked the family how they got the money and that's how they found out hence why its now an issue again 6 months later but that could be just rabble. Makes sense though

I don't see why that would result in a fine or suspension for Fifita though, that sounds like the club made the mistake and did the dodgy. I don't know what he's done wrong in that situation?

Yeah I agree, not sure where the suspension talk has come from when the NRL’s issue appears to be related to salary cap indiscretions. And the way the media continues to trot out the trespass line when he was invited on to the property is blatant sensationalism making the incident sound way worse than it is.

The suspension talk has come from the media selling clickbait.

Munster should just pay $1500 in advance each week. Gets a free kick every game that way

The refs trying to make something of the crackdown still. The judiciary definitely gave up after two weeks though

Why do they go so soft on intentional foul play like kneeing and kicking / tripping. Seems the easiest thing to get out of the game if they came down harder on it.

Yeah I really struggle with this.

High shots rightly cop a suspension, but at least that’s generally a player attempting to play footy, just a technique issue.

    Kicks/trips are just grub acts

An interesting hypothetical - Munster kicks a man while he’s down in Origin, gets a fine, if he’d punched him instead of kicking what happens?

Refs are obviously an easy target but I think the match review and judiciary process is a bigger issue. None of it makes much sense.

Eels winger Maika Sivo faces a suspension for his high shot on Tigers centre Adam Doueihi at Bankwest Stadium on Sunday while Parramatta teammate Isaiah Papali'i has been fined for contrary conduct.

Sivo has been hit with a grade two careless high tackle charge and will miss one game with an early guilty plea or two maches should he fight the charge at the judiciary and lose.

Papali'i was charged with grade one contrary conduct for dropping his knee onto Luciano Leilua's head, which will result in a $1150 fine should he accept an early guilty plea.

The other two players charged out of that game were Tigers pair Luke Brooks (dangerous throw) and Tom Amone (contrary conduct).

Brooks' tackle on Reagan Campbell-Gillard in the 79th minute was classified as a grade one and carries a $1350 fine with an early plea while Amone can accept a $1150 fine with an early guilty plea.

Accidentally hit someone high when trying to make a tackle, potential to miss weeks. Kick 2 different guys in two different games or knee someone in the head and pay what amounts to a coffee on their salary. Makes sense.
