Everyone's bye teams are crushing mine! Alvaro and Talau being a bit dud has given me 236/6 with 7c to go. Big Hynes score can save me, but other than that I might not make that much ground at all

I reckon rd 17 will be the best rd to make up ground. Alot of teams will be low on trades by then and wont be able to bring in numbers for rd 17.
How many players are you aiming for in rd 17? Ive already got Tohu, Thompson, CHN, Curran and Walsh but will be aiming for about 8.

Haha I've only got one rd17 player (Walsh) at this stage. I have a plan though. The plan can be flexible and adjusted as injuries and suspensions occur though. I have 15 trades and figure I can spend 8 of those on rd17 players if I have 8 players worth trading out, which I think I do:

Watson, Alvaro, Laurie, Hynes, Fitzgibbon, Jones, Burton. The eighth can be whichever of Brailey, TPJ, Matterson, Fogarty, Moses, Koroisau etc gets injured or suspended. Let's face it, it's bound to happen.

My 8 trades ins are likely to be Harris, Lolo, AFB/Thompson, SJ, Verills, dpp ctr/wfb (less than 300k hopefully), and two short term plays. I'd ideally want the short term plays to be playable, make money and be close enough to keeper scores in case things go pear shaped. Someone like CHN probably my first choice. Is Curran a buy?? The two short term plays (or whoever is suspended/injured/under performing) can become post origin guns. Probably Fifita (although tempted to bring in next week if playing) and Pappy.

    Would leave something like:

    Brailey
    Haas Lolo AFB/Thompson
    Fifita Matterson
    Cleary Moses
    Bird Peachey
    Teddy Pappy Turbo

    Crichton Harris Koro Fogarty

SJ Walsh Verills dpp ctr/wfb 5 trades for run home

I think having a strong 21 rather than a strong 17/18 will be important. As it stands I'm likely to be about 200k short of achieving this unless my two short term plays or guys like Jones, Hynes, Burton etc make more than anticipated. Might have to compromise slightly on the bench. Probably unwise letting the fantasy gods know my plans hey?!

Well i am going the other way.

I have dropped 480 places to 1777 , have 7 to play plus Captain so don't think I will bleed to much more, maybe hi 2000's

I have 16 trades and are going for the everyone else runs out of trades strategy, and can gain 100 points every round from around round 20.

this probably a bit of an overhang from being a H2H player and can't get my shit together for this bye planning stuff you guys do so well.

Haha I’ve done my best to bye plan sensibly and conserve trades the best I can and it really hasn’t helped me in any way whatsoever 😂

    ...... so far

Thats a solid plan. Im hoping Curran gets a starting spot back and CHN keeps playing well as one of those guys will be in my final 17.
Im guessing guys like Cook, DCE will be good PODs to finish with if you've got trades and money up your sleeve

Down 500 places or so to 944 and only have 5 players left. Hopefully I can stay in the top 2000 but I was expecting a bigger drop.

Yeah those are the two regrettable ones and who I'll be targeting if completely kissed on the dick or trading out a long term injury. Unlikely though.

Looks like Verrills will be an important cash out for most. Has there been any update on him. I think Lussick was due back rd 14?
