Cleary will be slightly tougher next year (assuming he maintains his scoring)

This year he was available at a massive price discount. In that respect he's only a must have in the way Nikora and Bateman were a few years ago. Next year he'll be $3-400k more than the next most expensive player.

I chose not to have Cleary from the start and have regretted it every week, deciding that bringing him in would be no good as I'd missed his previous points .... which (with hindsight) was just digging a bigger hole - but it was my decision and my WAGs team has the (c) on him every week so there's some compensation.

As my dad used to say - you pays ya money and you makes ya choice.

.... and as Kipling said - If you can meet with triumph and disaster, and treat these two imposters just the same ....

Spud Carroll on the commentary. Has Blocker been banned for contact to the head?

That's all the more reason that your video game analogy is dumb lol. Though you basically can hoist up from anywhere past half court with Steph on 2k and make a shot if you can time your shots. Funny given that's what he can do in real life as well. You can easily just get Giannis hold turbo and flick the stick and dunk on anyone. Ronaldo can just blaze past anyone and send rockets with ease. There's a reason everyone used to play with United, then Madrid, then Juve. There's a reason people pay shit loads of money to get him in UT because he's a cheat code like he is in real life.

When a gun is OP in COD, you still need to be able to aim it. When everyone was running DMR, it still couldn't save you if you couldn't aim.

Things in games still require a skill to execute. It isn't something comparable to fantasy.

You basically chose Smith or you were taking a gamble. And that gamble usually failed.

You fucked up not getting Cleary, you've had months to fix your mistake, you still haven't, the game doesn't need to somehow adjust because of your mistake and unwillingness to correct it lol. We get the same predicatable moan from you each week.

What I'm not understanding is how I'm not 1st overall. Apparently it's the only decision that matters, it breaks the game having him, but I've had him from the beginning but I'm not winning the comp, what gives?

Haha I’m resigned to the fact I’ve just been absolutely reamed by the fantasy gods and there is nothing I can do about it

i get that ya'll are creaming yourself over another banner and I'm a dunce for being stubborn over thinking a 50% increase on the next best fantasy average in history is unsustainable, but objectively speaking, this is a game of choices, and it's not good for the game that the biggest choice to be made on a week-to-week basis now doesn't matter for anyone competing for a top spot, making big moves towards the top is going to be difficult for you guys when you don't even have the choice to chance your arm on an outside-the-box captain choice to gain big ground on the leaders playing it safe.

I just can't believe I'm on a forum called 'fantasy fanatics' and there's someone who doesn't have Cleary.

Penalty overpowers knock-on surely? They get advantage then take that advantage with a penalty?

but still essentially scoring at minimum 150 points every week, while everyone else will be scoring 60-odd at best, I dug my hole this year and I'm lying in it, but I basically have no choice but to fork out whenever he costs next year if I want to be competitive.

Enjoying Spud on sideline commentary. His moments are short, sweet, and so far humorous!

Far from the asinine dribble from blocker, but then again spud might be the same if he was on commentary. Glad it's Vossy and Coop that's for sure.
