I see this opinion pop up from time to time and I think people are quick to forget that Teddy was just as good at the Tigers as he has been at the Roosters. Their gameplan half the time was 'Pass it to Teddy'.

Well that Papenhuyzen news is annoying. Worst case let’s assume he’s gone for 3 weeks. So he’s out Rounds 8, 9 and 10. That’s 857k sitting on your bench
He’ll play Rounds 11 and 12 then go to Origin (safe bet he’s in the 14). He could back up as well, but I don’t think Bellamy will when he has the luxury of a capable back up of Hynes to play in a bye week.

I don't see why the logic of Teddy being worse with worse players around him matters when the Origin spine will be Cleary, Luai/Wighton, Cook in comparison to Hutchison, Walker & Verrills
Staggs is the overrated one of those you picked, average defence and coming off an ACL injury

Catching up on thread, is consensus now Walsh is wait-and-see and Pap is trade?
Problem with my team is that if I trade Pap it'd either be trading to another WFB, or risk playing with 16 if Teddy is out by getting Haas. The alternate problem of holding Pap is returning behind the couch when watching Haas play

Teddy is like the Lebron of the NRL - everyone is just sick and tired of his greatness that has been displayed for so long that they look for someone new. Still the best fullback for mine, and doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon...

I'm pretty tempted to grab Walsh anyway and back him to find his way into the team.
Like Schuster, and Ponga back when he made his debit, i think he'll just find a way to get selected.
Don't need him to play every week. Just this week (Assuming Teddy is out) and maybe the odd guest appearance otherwise
He's a good cash out that allows Haas, and maybe another gun in coming games.

I feel he will force Brown to play him somewhere, and even if he rests him every few weeks, that’s good enough.

Boring and meandering as fuck? Who gives a shit, he gets the job done. Was one of NSW's best last year, absolutely immense in getting their sets started and was taking like 24 odd carries a game. Good under a high ball too which you need when coming up against Coates.
