After some advice if I may guys?
At the moment I’ve got Lam to Walker and Averillo to Egan lined up but I’m open to suggestions

Just a quick FYI for anyone panicing:
There's only 31 points between me ranked ~9300 and someone ranked ~12300 (3000 ranks).
Literally a incorrect captaincy cost in 1/3 rounds could cost you 3000 ranks this early.

Yeah, trading middies to middies for bye coverage is less good than having a couple of your Origin players you have scoring for you for twelve rounds who you then trade out and in for actual (near) guns before the byes. Which you can only do if you've saved trades by not trading middies to middies for the first two months.
That said, Rnd 13 guns Moses and Matterson are going to be discounted over the next few weeks and could be worth targeting.
Not fully convinced Haas plays Origin either. I mean, I'd pick him if I were NSW but combination of off-field and the fact he wasn't actually very good in SOO last year means it's not a sure thing.
NSW could be something like Saifiti/Cook/Jurbo/Friz/Crichton/Murray with a Pap/Radley/Paulo/NBrown bench. For Game One, at least. And that's the only game that matters with Haas.

Yep, the difference between top 1000 and around 6000 (where im at) is about 100 points
lot of teams are very similiar this year (probably because everyone owns laurie, watson, brailey, pap, liddle etc in their 17)
EDIT: also the lack of variety in guns available at the start of the season made team lineups even more homogenous (no ponga, grant, haas or mcinnes)

I’m 307 behind the leader and ranked 6180. We only have 9 similar players, but he’s done it without the likes of Cleary, Crichton, Tedesco. It also appears he would have Fifita as a set and forget captain.
Also, I had an incorrect captaincy in round 1, which put me well behind from the start.

Maybe two or three of the top fifty will be in the top fifty by the end of the season, and a lot of them will wind up nearer 5,000th. I wouldn't worry about it
