I still prefer NAS. All other things being equal, he has a much higher PPM, so an extra 10 minutes for each would increase NAS's scoring by more. Last season NAS only needed 40+ minutes to average near keeper scores (58 average) and plays round 13 when he should get lots of minutes when Origin players are gone. Would be surprised to see Welch get near keeper level scores, even playing 50+ minutes.

Can you trust him to get those minutes consistently though?

    Last season his split was:

9 games under 30 minutes (including 2 at starting lock, and 1 at starting prop)

    5 games 30-40 minutes

    4 games 40-50 minutes

    4 games 50+ minutes

I just think he's too variable, with Bellamy using his impact to go with the flow of the game. When Welch settled back from injury at starting prop, his minutes were much more consistent (low of 41, high of 61, mostly around 48-55).

Not saying it's a bad call - huge upside if it comes off - but a couple of lower minute games early on halt any price rises pretty quickly, then Finucane is back.

I thought last year they did it same time due to being in Aus but normally they would have previous years. It’s been a long off season brain can’t remember anything

Warriors players have green lights on the webpage.

But not Curran. He has a not playing mark.

This may mean he isn't playing. Probably on merit.

That said, Egan has a green check too, so there's probably a bit of noise in the signal.

Sorry if I made you reshuffle your teams unecessarily. Before 4pm when you'd need to reshuffle them necessarily, of course.

The couple of hours before 4pm TLT is probably the only time Wacko is accurate because they'd (DT staff/etc) have access to the backend system where clubs submit their teamlist each week.

    Warriors team list - https://www.warriors.kiwi/news/2021/03/09/egan-and-katoa-set-for-titans/

Katoa and Sironen edges, Egan named. Tevaga/BMM/Ah Mau/Afoa bench

Like the look of that side tbh. Sironen is a good edge defender. Nice to see Bunty make the side, love to watch him run hard, and should suit their rotations since he can just punch out some big runs in a short stint

Surely Tohu doesn't play 80 with that bench.

Egan being named is interesting. I had him originally and then moved him out after the injury news. Could potentially move a few things around for me again. Are they just being optimistic or do you think he'll play?

Yeah was just thinking that. He's not a lock for 80 anymore if that's the make up of the squad. I keep alluding to that Nathan Brown interview when he brought up Tohu's age and said whenever they get an opportunity to rest him they will...Obviously will still be a gun playing at lock, just think there's better options out there.

Was nice of Brown to name what appears to be the full strength side, even if there are some that don't play game day. Makes it much easier to understand his intentions.

Hard to tell which of Sironen and Katoa are likely to get 80 minutes, both averaged around 70 minutes last season as starting 2RF. Might take turns this year.

Bayley Sironen is interesting @ 400. Undoubtedly value if playing large minutes (no need to post the reminder Milch). But you can see BMM come on to give late punch on that edge. And B.Siro would need a lot more attacking potential to grind out 40s in 50-60.

Pass. But then I passed on Burr too, so what do I know about NZW forwards.

Not selected symbol in fantasy, not an injury symbol. No mention of him being unavailable.

Warriors don't release their team early, they release it at 4PM NZ time.

Is anyone still running LaM off the bench. I've been high on him all pre-season, but having second thoughts.

In interchange games between 30-40 minutes he averages 36 priced at 27, that jumps to 41 in 40-50 minutes stints off the bench. Surely even in that pack he doesn't get less than 30? I think he & JTB split about 40 each.

I still think there's value, even off the bench, but is it too risky to start with?
