I can't help but think that Cotric's value is him at WFB where he takes the ball back from kicks. His long term average at CTR is significantly lower than his score at WFB. I reckon Latrell is much better value + he plays origin

Tino is going to play big minutes in the middle. He stayed on the field when Peachy came on. For me Tino is the ideal stepping stone to someone like Taumalolo or Tohu.

Re: Cotric - there is no way I’m spending 484 on a CTR that isn’t playing in the backrow

I made my first serious attempt at a 21 this arvo, my main issue is:
    Macca + Lodge/AhMau/other
    vs
    Tino + Brooks/Milf/Turps/Hodgson/other

The other 19 I have a fair idea of what I want. At least until 4pm Tues

    Ahahahaha now your serious thoughts....!!

Just made draft 29 but my 18-20 are all middle players, not sure I like that!

If Gosiewski starts at 288k he may be worth a punt in my emergencies but I wouldn’t be confident!

I hear you but playing ctr doesn't exclude him from getting involved early on bringing it off his own line. In the raiders team we had heaps of guys digging in and doing that, I think he's got more opportunity/expectation to do that in the dogs. Plus it wouldn't surprise me to see them try and structure a lot of the attack around him, they need to find points somewhere.

Has Niu had his NRL punishment yet?

Probably suspended Round 1 and thus no DPP I bet. Hopefully just a fine.

In the trial after tackle 4 he went back to the wing to take the kick. Was taking 2 hit ups at the start of sets as well. Gets all the tackles and possession of a center in attack and the hard yards and tackle busts working the ball out of their own end.

Brown would be a fantasy gun if he was the dominant half at a club. I can see his scores improve a bit this season but not enough to join the elite (Cleary, DCE)

But looking at the Raiders Centres last year Scott/Croker averaged both well less than 100m and 2tbs a game
Those hard carries from your line are good in real life but not for fantasy points. Kick returns though are another thing
For context Semi Valemi averaged more Tb and RM than both of them and he averaged 22....

Rapana is a good example, played a reasonable amount of both Wing and Centre last year for the Raiders
Reduced running metres and tackle breaks at centre, offset with double the tackles made and missed tackles
This is generally the case across the broad with most teams

Cotric is priced at his 4 year career average of 36 after averaging 36 on the wing in 2020
His centre average is 31 from 8 games.
So we have have a fairly good look including his year when he broke into origin

What is he going to different this year playing centre for last years bottom team?
What do people hope from him 40?

Just going off my head for the hooker, 2 forward positions and lock.

    Total 320mins

    Mofo 55mins
    Rein 50mins
    Wallace 45mins
    Lisone 30mins
    Joliffe 30mins
    Peachey 55mins
    Tino 55mins

    Total: 320mins

For Tino to play bigger minutes someone here needs to have their minutes reduced. Otherwise 55mins at 0.87ppm( assuming he can continue scoring the way he has been)= 47.85. If they don’t carry lisone or Joliffe in the bench then definitely bigger minutes in play but if Joliffe and lisone are there then I expect Tino to play 55mins each game

Nice breakdown. I can see a few tweaks to get Tino on field longer, Likely Peachey and Lower minutes for the bench props. To spread some risk you could start with BS9 and see how the Titans forward rotation and jump on Tino if satisfied, wastes a trade but will be similar prices and better look at Tino potentially becoming a gun
