I like the strategy, thought of it too, but what happens if Ponga comes back slightly early rnd 2-3 and Turbo hamstring injury doesn't heal as quickly and is pushed back to rnd 6,7,8? Is Niu your scoring player?

People are basing Hoy scoring estimates from 2 games.

One of them was the highest scoring fantasy game ever, and unlikely to be repeated regularly
Other time he scored a 40, but it includes a try-save the most random and unpredictable stat that is offered.

I think people expecting 3 weeks of 50s are being very optimistic.

If taking Hoy as your 3rd WFB all it does is buy you a look at all players and you hope for a 35 average. Would be savvy to have a DPP player like Gagai in your centres just in case no1 pops up at fullback.

Basically have the same guns, seems like a lot are running very similar 5 down the line, I've got Munster in at 2nd half as well.

I think someone will end up being sacrificed though as I don't see all the cheapies coming to fruitition.
You’ve got Moylan?? Gulp....... I am thinking of it but not sure I can do it.

Someone like Twal, Taukeiaho or Tino can be done.
For cheapies, there is hope Ofahangaue/Lodge/Ford/LAM/BMM look good enough to start, but I am not confident on any of those at the moment.

I’ve got Koloa, Watson and Lodge. Angus in the 14.

What are your thoughts on Brooks? It seems quite a lot aren’t keen on him.....

What is the thinking on Hoy?

I think by round 4 you are gonna have to trade him out. So you’d have to hope Laurie gets a crack around this time. It sure is risky.

On another interesting from people who’ve voted so far 48percent have Bird and 52percent don’t that’s from 25 voters.

Currently don't have the balls to run two cheap WFBs so have Teddy + RTS + one of the cheapies. Also have Hopoate in centre though.

Wow. Two guns in WFB. Big call. Where are you sacrificing?

My WFB is currently Teddy, Hoppa, Moylan but will hopefully move Hoppa to the centres, TLT dependant.

I'm going Watson, Koloamatangi and Ford. Would have gone Lodge but reckon Ford has slightly better job security. The other three cheapies I do not like.

I also am going this route, to much value in the edge 2RF's like Ford, Koloamatangi, Waddell, Riki if they all start and then Blore from round 6. Also Gilbert will come back and I will want him too. If things go there way they may average 45-50 in the short term which may only be 10 points less than the guns.

Happy to have Teddy + RTS + Hoy/Tracey and sacrifice at MID and EDG.

Even a very generous 50 average sees him making 127k over 3 rounds. He'd have to average 55 to make 150k+.

I guess that's possible starting against Bulldogs, Warriors, Tigers, but I think it's too much of a gamble.

I'm surprised there isn't more focus on whoever gets the vacant Storm wing spot.

I've currently got Reimis Smith as place holder in WFB 3

Absolutely hate doing it, but I've just started looking at Latrell as a Turbo replacement for basically the same price.

The Bunnies do have Manly, Canterbury, and the Broncos in their first five (interspersed with difficult games against the Storm and Roosters).

Another year to get used to fullback.... surely not, right?

I dont trust Ford's scoring on the edge.

This is one of my main drivers behind starting with Hoy. To have a look at the options after a few rounds. He would be more like a placeholder, not a cashcow.
But saying all that TLT may present some better options

Why does Hoy give you a better look at other WFBs than picking Moylan, Niu or any other player?

He's a guy who can average ~50 at halfback who is cheap due to some games from the bench last year.

Bit like CHT whois underpriced due to games earlier in the season paired with Blake Green or playing off the bench. He can score higher now thathe is with Nikorime

Probably both Brooks and CHT don't have enough value to make them worthwhile. So if I lose faith in Munster might just run Cleary/Lam and rely on Moylan/Croker/Averillo for cover
