Doubt youd find stats.
Lodge played the first 25 ish and then came back on for the last 10. They rotated a lot of players (the wynnum fb played rhe second half for the broncos) so i wouldnt read much into anything.
Lodge looked ok to me. First match hit out for a long for him so more about some metres in the legs. He found his front and got a quick ptb on most carries i saw, but youd expect that against a q cup side.
Trial vs cows this week will reveal more.

Mins have been updated for the all stars game for people who want to read into things completely unrelated to anything the respective NRL coaches are planning

Pretty sure this game v Cowboys is Alex Glenn's testimonial match so it might be more useful than a usual trial, like Charity Shield

Yeh i think both coaches will probably treat it as close to a regular season match as possible.

My thoughts on Suaalii...
I hope he doesn't get an exemption, he should just bide his time like everyone else no matter how talented he is. It's also ridiculous for him/his manager to ask for top player salary when he hasn't proven himself in top grade.
You can have all the talent in the world, but there is more to it than that.
Look at someone like Xerri, or other young players struggling with recurring injuries hampering their careers. Anything can happen. A bit of character development is needed.
my 2 cents

Cheers mate. Sounds promising if he's stayed fit and it seems Kevvie has a bit of faith.

The problem re Suaalii is if the Roosters don't pay him overs then another club will swoop in & buy him. Of course the money offered is absurd but that's how it is.

I guess you want a manager that's trying to get you as much as possible, but it also sounds like he's getting bad advice and maybe doesn't have good people around him.
I'm not sure that making yourself look like a shithead before you've even made the big time is a great strategy in the long term (TPA's etc) and most clubs prefer to recruit good players who also know how to work hard, earn it and tow the line (as well as other cliche's I may have missed)
Does that make 5c now

Billy Walters (in the TK podcast) mentions he thinks Shawn Blore has broken wrist, so guess there is fuel to fire for the rumour

While I am a big suaalii fan boy, his age doesn't bother me as much as him still being at school. Hard to believe that you can attend everything required to be a full time professional athlete and go to all your classes and complete your end of year exams. Trying to do both at once would have to put a huge amount of pressure on you.

Like you guys make a point but what does the guy gain from waiting another year. Realistically he losses out 500k and risks an injury in the lower grade.
More power to the kid, but I agree from a club standpoint it doesnt nake sense to sign such an unknown first grade player for big coin. Then again, Ponga got signed to a massive contract after 2 games.
