Not wrong and the last 6 weeks will be lots more of it.

With 5-6 weeks to go we will see a lot of teams playing down at least a couple of men for sure. They then will regret some of the wasted trades they did.

I am holding my 8 trades, none for me this weekend.

I may well be one of those teams. I made no trades this week, have five trades left, and am saving them all for injuries.

King Teddy alluded to Angus getting fitted with a brace. Here's the ad from FB. Guess this lends weight to out more around the 6-8 week rumour? NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 68 - Buy high, sell injured - Page 31 Screen13

Talking about Crichton. Picture of him at the physio/rehab place. Assume that is outside the bubble or is that exempt from the bubble?

Interesting the interview with Alex McKinnon the other day he was saying he reckons many players are flouting the restrictions anyway. No surprises.

Amazingly high scoring last round. May be more of that to come too. Over 5000th for the round last week and had a score of over a thousand. Every previous year, i'd be right of near the top with that kind of scoring. Hoping that my long series of outs has run its course.

I highly doubt that this is breaking any rules mate. Getting a knee brace for an injury wouldn't count as breaking the bubble...

Anyone reckon the high number of injuries is an anomaly or highly connected to the 6 again rule?

Was just looking at the Fogarty dilemma I had this week. I have decided to hold but numbers are very tight if players hold at their current averages

    Frizell this week: 55.4 * 9 = 498.6
    Fogarty this week, Murray next week = 43 + [57 * 8] = 499

Got my eye on bringing Twal back next week, I may be able to afford him if prices go my way. I don't think he will hold at 65 average he was going previously but may be 1-2 points better than Murray/Jurbo at 60 average

I had 1001 last week which was 8431st for the round. Tough crowd. Could have had a fantastic score, except well, Matterson. Oh well, onward and upward!

    UPDATE: NRLFF League 1

Number 1 seeded My TV Broke has unsurprisingly led the league from the outset, with 16 points (8-0-3), however plucky young upstart Pookus McFly (Hayneous Crimes) has been slowly clawing his way back to claim second place on the ladder with 15 points (7-1-3), and with a tantalising 1st vs 2nd matchup this round can oust the favourite from top position. Sportsbet currently offers a +35 line on Pookus, but fans of the sport are welcomed to come out this weekend to view the genuine David vs Goliath battle. When asked for his thoughts on the upcoming match, MTVB simply burped in the face of reporters and went back to selling poisoned milk to schoolchildren. Pookus could not be reached for comments as he was too busy with his harrowing schedule of charity work, but reporters who spotted him rescuing a kitten from a tree noted that he was looking fit and up for the challenge.

Number of injuries are around stable but major injuries up per round this year. Mentioned previously by NRL Physio that mini pre-season of self training by players and then jump to quick game is potential factor

Hopefully the fantasy gods will be done abusing me for the rest of the season. I should have 4 trades left with final 17 from next week

We say this every year. Injury numbers are around the same as previous years or at least they were based on stats a few weeks back.

I made a list either last year or the year before of all the "season ending" injuries in the last however-many weeks of the comp. Will see if I can dig it up and repost it for interests sakes.

Mate, you are going great guns. Undefeated in our league, have been in first place overall (I think!?) and are right up there in the thick of it now. Go you good thing. Keep it up.

Nice. Well we're both approaching running on fumes (or maybe the gauge is just faulty).

And it might be that I'm thinking it's higher coz a lot of them have been my fantasy players and a bunch of those my guns.

Just trying to sift through the recent posts to see where we're up to. It seems the rumours around Haas, Munster/Smith have surfaced. Just checking, from that same SC podcast, it didn't sound like he was in doubt to play this week, but they mentioned a foot injury Taupau had picked up last week.

As someone planning to bring him in this week, anyone know any more about this? Anyone know if it's something that might cost him game time into the future?

I was half torn between him and Luke Thompson but decided to go with the "safer" Taupau. Just wondering if I need a last minute re-think.

I only have 2 trades I regret that weren't injury related, but they're both clearly as result of hindsight. Basically every other trade I've made is getting rid of underperforming player, getting another shit CTR or getting rid of a keeper with a long-term injury

Walters to J Hopoate R3 - should have held Walters extra week
Friend to Twal R3 - was deciding between Friend to Twal and Aubusson to Yeo (when Aubo was out) this round and thought Aubusson was CTR keeper on return

I wouldn't read into any information on SC/DT early mail and Fox Sports late mail that isn't on the nrl site. They have a history of clickbait at the smallest of injuries labelling players in extreme doubt. They would probably label a player in extreme doubt about a stubbed toe (though those do hurt)
