What are you expecting from both of these players?  Especially when you aren't even making much money from the trades.

Any other Robson owners nervous with Granville sniffing around the 21?

From memory Granville was named in the 21 for like 4 weeks straight while Robson was starting. Will just be for emergency purposes. Don't stress about it.

I'm expecting 40-45 average from each, and to hold them to the end as long as they're fit and playing.

Both have good JS (since Macca, Watson and Hodgson are all gone for the season), and seem like they can at the very least average 40. Starling seems to be good for 40 in base with a TB or two on top of it, while Randall seems to have a good workrate based on him making 72 tackles in his one game, so you'd think if he plays 50 mins he'd average at least 40

Considering both are priced below 30, I think it's worth it.

Yes, but hoping one of the main reasons Cotter was there was either because middles like McLean were injured and he's now back, or to keep Robson fresh given it's the first year he's had to play 80 at hooker. Hopefully he goes back to 80. I'm indeed nervous, but I would definitely hold this week to see what happens.

    16. Randall, 17. Starling, 18. Luai sounds like asking for trouble to me

    How so?

It seems like a pretty solid setup for me

I’m tempted to move Paix for Randall and run Niu as my only red dot. Just not really sure atm. Would rather wait and see what is served up over the next couple of weeks at closer to base

Would you rather Luai to Munster or Young to Tevaga?

Whichever I don't do this week I'll probably do next week.

Not sure if that's true, I remember commenting in the main thread that I was slightly worried about Starling because Raiders might sign another hooker and that Jake Granville hadn't even been named in the 21 the previous few weeks. I could be mistaken though.

Because your 16th and 17th players are untested players in split roles that have had a few big scores early but could easily regress to 30 point scorers. Luai seems like a mid 30s guy to me aswell, which is perfectly fine as 18th man but might find yourself with him as 16 very quickly

If you don't need to pull the trigger immediately both of these trades are probably cheaper next week. It also gives a chance to see Young's role with Bateman and CHN back

Doesn't look good for NSW, if I lived there I would be mentally preparing for a VIC-style lockdown Sad

I hope its more under control than the story the numbers are telling and I hope everyone is staying safe <3

Yeah but Vic went up exponentially after that. First wave back in March (mostly NSW) went up exponentially. NSW is not doing that - actually has the "flattened curve" everyone was aspiring to after the first lockdown. Not elimination like NZ implemented, or some of the smaller Aus states achieved, but definitely suppression.

It's funny because I was one of the alarmists first time - I think one person suggested I was "deathriding the NRL" - yet now I'm pretty comfortable with the situation as it currently stands.

I expect we'll have some of the restrictions re-imposed (some have been already), but I don't see a Vic-style lockdown happening just yet.

I am looking at selling off Luai in a week or two, and worst case scenario I run Luai's replacement at 16, then Starling or Randall at 17 (since I doubt both will regress like that). The only reason I would keep Niu and give up one of the cheap hookers is to hold that trade for use elsewhere, but Niu is a pretty shitty loop (since Broncos get early games)

Because you'd want more reliable scorers for your 16th and 17th men. Playing those roles either could put up a 25 at any given time.

If you're going to do them both anyway, do Young -> Tevaga first, as Munster more likely to be cheaper next week and Luai has more certainty about his role.

Hasn't been there the last 2-3 weeks but 3-4 weeks before that he was in the 19-21 pretty consistently.

    Luai or Young > Teddy.

Other trade is Fermor > Starling... Rate him over 1 game wonder Randall. Plus Raiders have a dream finish and I wouldn't be surprised to see him used closer to 80 minutes each week with CHN and Bateman returning.

TEAM with 8 trades and 179K

    CS9
    Haas Carrigan
    Lolo Matto Lucy
    DCE Cleary
    Lomax Crichton
    Ponga Papy Teddy

    Grant Butcher Siro Starling
    Young Hamiso Herbie Niu

Need a 2RF gun in the next couple weeks and a FRF gun + HLF cover..

Anyone wanna shed some light on how that happens?
