POLICE are raiding the homes of NRL player agents Wayne Beavis and Sam Ayoub as part of ongoing investigations into salary cap breaches at the Parramatta Eels football club.
Officers from the NSW Fraud and Cybercrime Squad are currently carrying out search warrants at homes in Leichhardt, Woollahra, and a business premises in the CBD, police officials said.
No arrests are expected, but officials confirmed the searches were being conducted in relation to Strike Force Rhodium, the unit tasked with investigating salary cap breaches at the Eels club.

The raids are the latest incremental shift in a probe that was prompted by an award-winning series of articles about alleged salary breaches first published by The Daily Telegraph.
Detectives were seen entering the Woollahra home of Mr Beavis, a manager to former Eels player Jarryd Hayne, about 9.30am. Concurrent raids were taking place on the home of Mr Ayoub, officials said.
Comment is being sought from both men.
An official said the operation had been planned and was largely being carried out to seize documentation.

Did the Storm have such a task force after they were found routing the cap? Not a snide comment, genuine question.

Somewhat, yes. The "award winning series of articles" is just air wanking however where there is smoke there is fire. I'm not sure if I have read the articles in question however I'm going to assume there was some substantial evidence or insight into possible salary cap breaches in those articles in turn they investigated further. However it does seems strange that an investigation would kick start from an article in the paper though.

Yeah I wondered sort of the same thing. What criminal issue do they have as opposed to some sort of civil case, or just some NRL rule which isn't law. I guess it might be something to do with fraud or tax evasion.
I thought there were some reports into tax office investigations when it came to the Storm, but don't know if it came down to a criminal investigation.

There's a double standard happening when Andrew Gee can simply quit his job instead of being forced to give any evidence and Parramatta officials are under criminal investigation. It's definitely about time some focus was put on player managers for their role in this sort of crap though.

I remember the potential for tax enquiry of storm players, never read that it actually happened. The storm were all above board legally, they just ran a separate set of numbers and contracts to abide by a rule that has no legal repercussions. Parramatta directors have set up shelf companies and done shonkies

Add player manager Paul Sutton to the list. Investigating fraud, money laundering & false invoices along with players contracts

yes, because the police force is a part of the Broncos evil empire... or you know, Parramatta officials are being accused of criminal wrong-doing and Gee was just accused of cheating in a game...

Radradra didn't show for court and now has an arrest warrant, suspended until Wednesday. There is one particular line in the statement the Eels put out that is interesting, when trying to work out what the Eels think of the whole matter:
"Our Club supported this reasonable position of the court."

Hi guys, I will be heading from Mulgoa now, across to Windsor, then up through Bells Line Rd. will then go around and back through the mountains and back to penrith. I went through the mountains yesterday and some of the national parks out near Pitt town as well. Any help would be great. Thanks.
This seems pretty serious if mates are driving around randomly looking for Chad Robinson

Radradra thinks he is above the game, he should be released and farewelled good-ridence, bon voyage. Parra are trying for a fresh start keeping out of the headlines and the meathead just keeps them on the front pages.
I'm sick of this guy, whether he's innocent or guilty of domestic violence he is just a money grabbing pig and the sooner Parra part ways ways with him the better for the club.
He is an $BW mark II

I dont think he will play next season. If he is found guilty he is suspended (and Parra can release with no cap penalty) if not guilty i think Parra will negotiate a release (and they should be in a strong enough position that they dont pay him a thing)
He is a great winger but no winger is worth what he is asking for, including his off field disappearing acts. He wont have the same impact on the field if he doesnt want to be there. Got plenty of decent options that just need to be able to finish the backline moves (wont get the same 1st carry hit-ups from them though)
