Good luck, Wolfking. Please trade poorly this round. You know I will. Wink

Haha, maybe my good run might come to an end at the finish line mate, you never know. Good luck!

The final 8 get their own Top 8 - Bottom 4 series (to keep a good balance between volume and quality of POD's):

    WHO WILL WIN?:

Maybe I need to switch up my trades tomorrow to focus on the POD cup?

We should have done the semi final on Sunday night so we knew who was in the final and have 1 whole day of trash talking before Monday's final ?

Bring in Ben Kennedy, he's due for a big one.

As well as Johns, fired up ready to go

(don't waste your time checking team lists, just trust me)

The 2006 POD Survivor Head to Head series: The Final 8

    Round 23 update - 6 Again...

In collating the Round 24 POD scores I noticed a discrepancy with Round 23 POD scores - in particular some of the lowest scoring POD's had gone missing.

So, while this doesn't affect the overall standings (these have been adjusted accordingly), the update does affect the outcome of one game in the H2H.

    Here are the updates:
POD SURVIVOR - THE TOP 8 AND THE BOTTOM 4 - UPDATE:

The major change is due to Brett Stewart who scored an underwhelming 18 in Round 23.
While Shadow Sabre and Welshy both owned Snake, only Shadow had him playing Round 23 and so only he got the unfortunate -5.

POD SURVIVOR - R23 SCORE CARD - UPDATED:

That change was enough to change the outcome of the match between the two Stewart owners.
My apologies to Shadow Sabre (who would've actually won his next match) - but in the words of Graham Annesley, it's important that the right decision has been made.

    OOPS - WHO DID WIN?:

    POD Survivor Final ranks:
    7. Shadow Sabre
    8. Mattnz
    9. GreenMachine
    10. MoanaMan

Yeah so have I. But I could - assuming I get time - switch my three trades to moving out three too-pop players for three undervalued PODs. My base will still be less than Delta but (assuming I get to the final) could still get lucky then

    As it is, he’s unbeatable

The 2006 POD Survivor Head to Head series: Round 24 - The Final 6

As we down to only two match-ups, we drop to a Top 5 and bottom 3.
After dodging Brett Stewarts 18, Welshy picks up the big points with Snake's tonne.

POD SURVIVOR - THE TOP 5 AND THE BOTTOM 3:

Some close scores on the scorecard.

POD SURVIVOR - R24 SCORE CARD:

    WHO WON?:

Congrats to Teeth Eater on a narrow victory, and MS is still in the game.

    POD Survivor Final ranks:
    5. Empyreal
    6. Welshy
    7. Shadow Sabre
    8. Mattnz
    9. GreenMachine

Overall is probably a bridge too far (64 in front and he just keeps scoring...)

POD Survivor H2H is still wide open. A good result for some well chosen POD's and who knows!
Needless to say, low cost POD's probably have more upside potential and less downside potential (avoid those negative points).

Traded O'Meley in because he's playing in the feature game tonight and I didn't see him in any other teams.
Also traded in Gatis as a POD but turns out someone already has him and I can't be bothered changing my trades Laughing

It’s actually really difficult to find surefire PODs. I’ve just done a match formula on the pred worksheet to ownership, filtered by zero to have stats for potential unique PODs only. Then added a few more columns to look at priced average, recent average (Form I guess?), and the differential.

I think I’m going to have to try and guess which wingers score tries, but if they don’t, they could be on the bottom list and cost me points.

All this effort for a  maybe 5% chance I can beat a guy who is dominating without using spreadsheets in H2H on PODs in R26, assuming I win in R25 first.

I should probably just get back to work I guess...
