I was keen on Brian Carney but he was out of my price range. Should've started with him and not bloody snake!

Not gonna lie that's part of the reason I grabbed Johns

Aaron Gorrell starting at hooker round 2. I notice round 1 he started from the bench & made 26 tackles from limited minutes I assume. So anyone know if he's a tackling machine. Cheers.

It's amazing how much context we pick up in the off season so when stuff like this happens it's a lot easier to see the value or lack thereof.

Feels like my first year playing fantasy again in some ways

My memory is dodgy on 2006 - I did draft Reece Simmonds - but I don't think Gorrell is a long-term prospect.

EDIT: At least I hope that's true, because I didn't draft Dean Young to play 5/8

BTW for injury updates, this is how I'll work it

For other absences i will divide into 4 grades
    Grade 1 - 1-3 weeks out
    Grade 2 - 3-6 weeks out
    Grade 3 - 6-10 weeks out
    Grade 4 - 10+ weeks
Grade 5 - doesn't play again this season

Any time a player is missing from team lists i'll treat it as an injury (even if its a suspension or dropped for form) unless a quick google search gives me info otherwise

I'll let you know a rough return date using the grading above. For people who are away for 3, 6 or 10 weeks, I'll flip a coin to see which grading I give them. For season enders i'll explicitly say they don't play again

If a player doesn't get named in team lists and you want to know what happened, I'll advise his expected return date

Could this please be added to the start of the thread?
Maybe with injury updates as known.

I was also wondering if there is one for Trent Barrett's absence.
    Thanks

I cant remember what breakfast was but I'm convinced that in 2006 Gorrell plays every game and lights it up!

The truth might be somewhere in between those two statements

Nathan Brown as coach - never seemed to be one for running a settled spine... but certainly likes a bench Hooker

I think it would be easier to grade his time in the team. “Mystery fitness, 1-3 weeks”

Barrett and Matai are both 1-3 weeks out

From next week I might reduce grade 1 to 1-2 weeks. There's a big difference between 1 week and 3 weeks in fantasy terms, and its rare for 1 week injuries to turn into 3 weeks out in real life.
