I had him in my team until I found out he was not in the broncos squad at all. So I will wait to make sure he is not injured or suspended.

He will be an easy trade in for Fulton if named next round !!

I remember one year he missed the 1st month or two from injury and most people traded him out. Anyone remember what year that was ?

    Newcastle vs Parramatta

I am surprised nobody picked Glenn Morrison - he was always a handy fantasy player, and he topped the tackle count and the scoring

Brian Carney picked up a try on debut and the Gidley brothers both did alright

Luke Burt struggled as Parra got flogged - but no complete duds

    Penrith 24 (M. Cross, C. Gower, L. Hookey, N. Youngquest tries; P. Campbell 4 goals) defeated Bulldogs 22 (H. El Masri, M. O'Meley, L. Patten, V. Tonga tries; H. El Masri 3 goals)

No massive scores, popular cheapie El masri picked up a try and 3 goals

2 people had Willie Tonga, equal top scorer for the game with 55. Mark O'Meleye and Andrew Ryan both overlooked

Future forward gun Luke Lewis was still in his backline days in 2006, and didn't do much, but nobody was tempted to pick him

Easy Tiger did have Andrew Emelio, lowest scorer for the game with 6

    Canberra 27 (T. Carney, P. Graham, A. Mogg, S. Woolford tries; C. Schifcofske 5 goals; T. Carney field goal) defeated Manly Warringah 14 (S. Bell 2, B. Stewart tries; M. Orford goal)

Josh Miller was talked about pre-season for his head tackling technique. Luckily nobody picked him because he scored 2 points, got injured and doesn't play again this season.

Steve Bell moved from Melbourne to Manly this season - nobody picked him up which is a shame, as he got 2 tries and topped the game scoring
Simon Woolford and Adam Mogg also had their big scores unused by everyone

Ben Kennedy and Alan Tongue showed why they are fantasy guns with 50+ scores

Matt Orford's 2006 didn't start well with 3 errors and just 15 points

My new run metres algorithm deemed 0 an acceptable score.
He almost certainly would have got more than that, but not by much. A true shitto

Brett Stewart a try, 189 metres and only scored a 35
Going to be some ugly watching for him I think

Same with Adam Perry and Tim Smith btw, they probably ran more than 0m, but 0 should be close enough to not matter based on the real stats I have for them

He was always a dud in fantasy because despite his high try scoring rate, he had not much in the way of other stats. Uses to average low 20s

Interesting to see how super coach scoring goes for him. I suspect better than fantasy would, but not sure by how much.

I haven't actually looked at him in detail as I write this - its all guesswork from me with no actual knowledge

Watching him in his prime he did a lot of stuff off the ball. Aside from the occasional double or hat trick at Brookvale he was always a better real life player than fantasy player

Schifcofske and Collis the only two to not meet B/E for me so far. Andrew Price is a genuine shitto but won't lose any money

    Purtell 23
    Schifcofske 26
    Ben Jones(NPR) 22
    Michael Monaghan 39
    Sherwin 26
    Tim Smith 38
    Collis(NPR) 19
    Andrew Price 17

Thanks for the shout out - apparently not one of my greatest selection calls.
In my defense I forgot that we didn't need positional cover, so was looking for a potentially viable cheapie CTR (and was surprised that Reni Maitua was at CTR - pretty sure he mostly played back row on 5/8?).
Nice to know I have two obvious trade-outs at this point: Emelio + Simmonds
What's the floor for pricing? (is it $246K, or could they drop down further?)

    Cheers Beer

    Pricing floor is $246k

There's a couple more popular shitto scores to come though this round, save your trade out calls for the rest of the carnage

BTW its a bit inconvenient for me to do live scoring - its whole round or nothing at the moment, will see if I can fix that up next week

I have Simpson and Menzies (maybe wasn't quite in his heyday in retrospect) that haven't met BE, and then two potential Shitto's that fortunately aren't in the 17 + maybe a third in Martin who is...

The rest are mostly on or a bit over BE + a good score for Gaz.
The two surprise standouts so far are Hookey (44) and Cross (46) - very happy with those two scores

Good to know that there's more potential disappointment up ahead - that will keep me going while balancing trying to get work done and managing a rampaging toddler...

Yeah I’ve got the wrong bench right now! Serves me right for picking a chap I couldn’t remember. Had both he and Paine in playing 17 Evil or Very Mad

Yep I couldn't remember Andrew Price or Ben Jones after watching a heap of rugby league. Should have avoided both in hindsight
