any particular reason for this? Are the reduced interchanges leading people to think they can squeeze some extra minutes of the guns and some potential extra points? Lack of option so getting the big guns to start?

I have been tweeking my side and with 1 GUN and 2 mid rangers with potential, my side has much better balance

I think it's because people have identified cheap cash cows in other positions. But the best so far in the front row is an not that inspiring Russell Packed at $211k
If trials turn up some likely looking cheapies they'll start popping up in peoples teams

Every possibility he starts with Surgess and Sutton in that Rabs back row, Carter also there as his main second row competition i would think. tough to gauge his minutes because obviously Surgess wasn't there last year

His head knocks also a big worry

Think Grevsmuhl a better real life player than both of them, but who knows if Maguire will start him with him off in 2017. Would certainly be interested in Grevs at $270k if he's picked.

Thought Grevs would likely be used to cover the FR rotation...Gurgess and Tyrell with 2 of Turgess/Grevs/Brown on the interchange

Grevsmuhl is super talented, I think he will turn out to be the biggest casualty of clearing cap space for Souths when he hits form at the Panthers in a year or two. Runs such good lines and always busy. I love me a busy player.

    You've been quiet lately mate.

Surely they can't run it without a weekly prize. Even when Sportal's own comp was on the brink of collapsing, they still offered a $200 merch voucher or something like that.

Another joke, the prizes. Used to be able to win a $40k+ car. Now with more people playing than ever it's $15k. Better not be that weeklies have turned into just Thur night match day games for the $500.

Anyway i'm not going to have the best team this year as i'm going to be in the USA for 4 weeks, get back on the day of the first game of the season. Not going to have the time to research.

My guess is it keeps reconnecting to your IP/IP isn't static. That or you aren't storing cookies/clearing you cache. (Or you didn't click the "keep me logged in" button, but you aren't SI.)
