So a few people here unimpressed with Drinkwater? Didn’t get to see game, what are the views?

I assume we are waiting for TLT to work out if players like Stimson are going to be worth having?

Drinkwater didn't play (slight injury). Cowboys got battered when Melbourne had their firsts on and Clifford didn't look like anything much, so probably a good day for H2O.

One player that caught my eye was Turgess. He played the first 40 mins straight I think, didn't drop 1 pass, looked very fit & mobile & ran hard. I'm not mentioning him as a fantasy pick but because he looks much improved from last year & played well.

I watched the charity shield & I think Lomax is being treated a bit unfairly re some of the posts. He made a few errors but he'll improve. He dropped a few bombs but they were not easy catches & some of the other f/b's dropped a few bombs as well like Latrell. If you're going to drop him considering you're probably maxed out budget wise then who are you going to replace him with because you just can't pick Burns without restructuring in other areas of your team. I'm keeping him because he played well in last weeks trial & because he's the gk.

I think picking Lomax with low expectations and just waiting for the price jumps is the way to go. Dual helps as well

Lomax has been out of my squad for weeks. I figured if I wanted to go dirt cheap in the centres why would I pick someone already priced at 27 who has an upside of maybe 35, when I can pick someone priced at 22 and bank the cash

How did Mann go?

When Wiliame came on in the 2nd half he did more in the 1st 10 mins than Lafai & Aitken did in the entire 1st half.

Off his performance I would say Wiliame and Pereira have locked down back 5 spots. Where they play remains to be seen

Good morning all! I have come up with a team and have $0 left in the bank! I’m taking it as a sign and not going to touch it now until after breakfast! Of these 3 players which two do I keep, alas there is no way I can keep all 3 . Friend, DaFita, and Lolo! Lucy is my 3rd 2RF and I have Koro and BB on my bench.

Really tough call. Friend and Fifita are two of the biggest value players in the game, Lolo is the most under priced captaincy tier player. Personally I would be doing what is necessary to have all 3 in my team. If I had to let one go Fifita would be first casualty as I think he eventually loses the edge spot when Lodge comes back, but it will be a tough few weeks watching as a non owner until then

If you've made a team why can't you keep all 3?

I honestly don’t see Fifita, getting benched when Ofa returns.........two reasons:

1) he’s a gun
2) he is about to sign a huge contract which would warrant a starting position AND if they use him as a bench player, he is likely to do what most players do and switch clubs....the Broncos will not want that!

Only 2 that turned me off were Luai and Lomax but obviously if Burton is named you pick him

The thing that turned me off Lomax was his unwillingness on kick returns but his defensive positioning was rather good

Everyone else I was considering was fine. Can't really make anything of Knights game given they were against 3rd string Roosters team but already had Shibasaki in & around my squad due to lack of other CTR options and was good.

Fifita actually played close to 60 minutes
