FRF not that awkward now, in the last week it got really simple. There are enough choices to comfortably fill two spots but not enough choices to have to make a hard decision.

    99% of people are playing:
    - Haas/Knight
    - Haas/Carrigan
    - Knight/Carrigan.

Knight is going to play 13 - I'm not convinced that guarantees him more minutes, but I think it ensures he doesn't get less - and with MoFo and Merrin underdone, seems a no brainer he'd be the third option.

I don't see how max six weeks of Horsburgh playing 2nd row where he has no track record trumps those options.

I’m looking at Haas Carrigan with Horsey bench, which means I have FRF cover that is playable.

If CHN gets named at lock I'm considering downgrading Taumalolo to him & then using the extra cash to bump up a few positions like a higher priced ctr, f/b & a couple of positions on the bench. All these different players I want & can't have due to a 21 man squad size. I'd prefer a 30 man squad like they do in real life nrl.

Pretty sure it's Ricky who'd be getting the $20k fine after the press conference.

How on earth have Sea Eagles & Storm not named a team list for trial. It’s meant to be Team List Tuesday not Team List Thursday

J'Ofa to miss up to first 3 rounds according to Fox League. Leaves door open for Carrigan to really start the year with some solid scores and hopefully some decent price rises

Anyone else concern about Luai and Aekins, who rely heavily on their attacking stats to be relevant in fantasy, are versing Roosters, Dragons, Broncos, Storms and Raiders the first 5 weeks?

It would be interesting. I'd love the challenge of trying to build a team of mostly middies and 1-2 guns

Luai is in just about everyone's team so there's low risk there. Aekins may be of some concern with lower ownership. But for most he would be the 3rd WFB in the team, and most coaches will be taking some risk with that position

The concern is there, particularly if playing them in your 17, I will probably play Aekins (if I pick him Very Happy ) but leave Luai on the bench. I think Aekins has more chance of a solid base* playing fullback (KRM & the occasional TB) and is less likely to get bulldozed by rampaging forwards on a regular basis.

My feeling on Luai is if he works great but there isn't much to lose & at a pinch he covers HLF, will probs play 80 regularly and is close to base. Everyone else will have him so it's no big deal if he flops

Edit: solid base for a WFB rather than HLF so relative to their respective positions

talking about WFB. I like the look of Williame, he had a great run in the trial for the Dragons. Probably not likely to make the 17, but definitely one to keep an eye on if an injury occurs

Aekins averages 200 run metres a game in first grade and is priced at 23. Hard to see him not scoring atleast 30-35 a week

I'm terrified of putting Luai in my 17 (like he is currently, yikes) 4 games last year at 5/8 for scores of 18, 30, 22 and 58 and the only game he played with Cleary was the 18 game which also included a try assist. I've got all my phalanges crossed that Walters gets a decent gig at hooker so I have a playable cheap half

I'm more worried about playing Drinkwater in my wfb that I am playing Aekins. Luai I would be worried about playing in my 17 but Aekins at f/b will get bulk run metres with the odd tb so I'm not worried about him. As MS said he will score 30-35 pts per game.

I think I'll do this also....I had it at one point, but looking at my centres and halves made me throw up in my mouth a bit each time...

The original deadline of Tuesday for team naming was for print deadlines for Big League magazine.

Now that its dead (is it dead yet? I know Rugby League Week stopped) there's no real reason to name teams on a Tuesday other than satisfying the urges of Fantasy players (and giving them something to get angry about when the team changes by Sunday)

Do you think coaches actually enjoy naming a team several days before a game?
