I almost put Walters in my draft too.  Surely he plays and would be a great pick.  I'll put him in over Mann to get more funds fro sure if he starts.  Murray is an interesting choice mate, but should be rock solid and score 50-60 points a week.  Also To'o is an interesting pick, POD central.  Not sure on Mago being in the 17 though.  I like the look of that especially for a Haasless team.  I'm warming towards going Haasless to swap for Tolo truthfully.

Thanks for the feedback. The hope with To'o for me would be that with panthers finally having a decent hooker in Koro, maybe the strike players benefit by scoring more tries and linbreaks etc off the back of that?

Could very much be wishful thinking and I am a little biased towards To'o after meeting him a few days after his debut. Bumped into like half the panthers team on a night out and him and MWZ were definitely standout genuine blokes with a love for the game and the fans. Cause I knew a girl that personally knew a bunch of the players we sat down with them and most players said g'day and went back to their thing (nothing wrong with that) but those two were keen to actually integrate among us all.

Definitely a fav of mine, so the vision is a little clouded hahah

Hi all! How on earth are we up to part 6 already.

My placeholder team, with not much research and alot of assumptions so prob not really relevant at this stage:

    Friend
    Knight Fotua
    Fifita Williams Stimson
    Flano Croft
    Talau Lomax
    Turbo Papen Doueihi

    Egan Brailey Grant Koroisau
    Mago Luai Best Tino

I know the 9's is not a great formline to base players off but cleary looks good. Thinking of dropping croft for him. I have alot of midrangers and cheapies which might hurt my rankings the first few rounds but hoping to play catch up later on. Haven't even looked into bye planning yet. Fun times ahead!

Strange LS didn't mention Levi in his hookers piece. Must be trying to keep his POD status. All aboard?

2015 Premiership Winners won the Nines previous year
2017 Premiership Winners won the Nines following year

Confirmation Anthony Milford suffered a minor hamstring strain yesterday; Broncos are confident he will be fit for Rd1 (via
    @badel_cmail
). Usual return to play for grade 1 hamstring strains is 2-4 weeks. Risk for re-injury can remain elevated for 15-20 weeks post injury

Imagine that, nice boost for Croft owners if he re-did it in the early rounds.

Gents, see my current team below. Feel free to criticize it as I'm keen to get other opinions on it.

In the halves I'm tossing up either Flanno or Croft, but not 100% on this yet. Which would you go for?

    Koro
    Haas Knight
    Fifita Williams Stimson
    Cleary Flanagan
    Best Lomax
    Papenhuyzen Drinkwater Isaako

    Brailey Egan Brimson Talau
    x4 cheapies

    $209k to spare

I woke up with Wallace in my team. Niot totally sure why I put  him there, but the more I think about it, he's not a bad pod.

That's cool. This is the sort of thing where you pick them regardless just to watch them and cheer them on. Nothing wrong with that. If you're deadset on winning the thing maybe not the wisest stratergy but situations like this normally override that aspect to make the game more enjoyable. He is that price for a reason too so no reason he can't keep that average up. Especially as you say with the Panthers looking to have a better year.

Hey bro just a couple of thoughts:
Monitor Stimson because he may not start, Replace if on the bench.
Flanagan might take on more of a backseat role while he's eased into the team so Keary will be the dominant hlf.
Egan will start round 1 but not sure after that because the Warriors have a lot of hookers like Roache & Lawton.
I'm not sure on Brimson with a difficult early draw for the Titans & I'd prefer a forward on your bench instead of a back
Talau may not even start round 1 & the same as Brimson re back on bench & Talau is a ctr so may not score well even if he starts.
I think you have to play Brimson & Talau (if starts) in your starting 13
Monitor Isaako because there's talk Bird could start at f/b meaning Isaako probably wing. He is gk so that's a plus but not sure if he's on the wing.

    Good luck.

Don't really understand the love for Wallace...he's priced at 42 which is what he averaged last year. Why do people think he's a decent option?

Haha well spotted, my bad. And yeah, it doesn't have any bearing on the full comp. Storm hardly fields a top strength side in the nines
