What happens if player doesnt get named round 1, are you allowed to trade them out? Round 1 lockout is the last game of the round?

The previous rule has been that this is your team for round one, and it's the team after lockout. You can trade before round 2.

Nobody is trying to come top 1000. It's about how you do from the same starting point, which could include dealing with red dots.

Ministry of Silly Walks has joined. Quick question, Luai has to be at 1st emergency and not reserves?

Correct, everyone has to start from the same point, we are competing with each other, not for overall glory.
If we end up starting with 16 (or less) then so be it.

I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure you can put your 21 players wherever you like, as long as it’s those same 21 players as the rest of us.

That's right. You pick what you think will be the strongest 17 from that 21, captain and vice whoever you like. That's where the scores vary even though we have the same players. Then as the weeks progress people make different trades and there's more variation.

I haven't started assessing round 1 tradeouts yet, waiting to see what happens in round 1.

But expensive players who are losing cash will probably go before expensive players who aren't

Yep. Simple as that.

Yep then Mrs Pascoe decides who to play, who to bench and who to captain this week. Then next week start trading and repeat.
