One trade was flanno to Cleary which I predict I’ll regret in 2 weeks when I’m playing Williame in my 17

Just did the one trade before the game, Flanno to Koro.
Good start to eliminator, my opponent had Papy and Aubo who scored low. If I feel like I got the edge, should I just match their captain choice? He’s gone with Cleary but could play funny buggers and change at last minute.

Koro, Harris, McInnes, JTrbo, Klemmer, Talau
Them:
53, Tevaga, EKatoa, Rudolf, DCE

I'd match but don't make the same mistake as me and forget to check and recheck before lockout lol. Ended up not mattering for me, but since the captaincy choice looks like their only way of winning at this stage, they're definitely gonna try pull some shenanigans

Papy hurt me last night against his Butcher. But not as much as his newly stacked team is going to hurt. He seems to have traded well this week.

I kept checking my eliminator throughout the day and my opponent changed his captain 3-4 times trying to trick me. In the end he captained Cleary and I captained McInnes and also my trade ins were a masterstroke (Koro and NBrown in for Flanno and Taupau).
Me: 220 + Klemmer + JTrbo + Talau
Them: Rudolf + JSaifiti + Taupau + DCE

We've both still got most of our players to play but I'm not loving the position I'm in. Captaining McInnes again seems to have kept me in the early portion of the hunt. He's outscoring me with 3 players played each, but it's only by a few points. Gutho killed it for him. Papy dudding it for me.
For the record, he's captained Lolo.
Going to be tight, but I think I'll lose it on Papy and maybe Mann if he doesn't go well. He's solid as balls with no potential weak links. Only way I see myself being any chance is if DCE and Bateman absolutely kill it.

I was gone after the 2nd game of the round. Their new guy Koro scored 92. (well done to my opponent)
Also, what kind of fuckwit coach plays a workhorse like Jazz for 38 minutes ? Off at 24 min and back at 66 minutes. Obviously didn't want to win !

Haas is the play IMO. Floor is high enough that he won't ruin you if it doesn't come off. Ceiling up there with the best of them
Who knows, one of your other PODs might end up with a hat trick

This will be my peak I think, 937 with Mann, ponga and leilua to go. Had to play talakai in my 17. With 2 trades left no more upgrades for me

Its a tough matchup for me
I have 48 points+ Jurbo + Eisenhuth
against
DCE + Lucy + Aloiai
Captaining Haas worked, but I traded Twal to Papalii to play over George Williams, but that cost me 15 points. Trading someone in for their lowest score of the season is almost as bad as trading someone in the week they get injured.

Scored 1040 and got beat in all 3 of my H2H. Clacks 1128 could go close to the weekly.

Fairly convincingly beaten in eliminator
Only way I could have won would have been not playing Aubbs, which was never going to happen going into the round, so happy that I wasn't killed by captaincy/sub choices
