NRL Fantasy News Thread - Part 1

Hi all,

As suggested I've started this thread for people to post all NRL fantasy news as a quick resource to help us manage our teams efficiently! Feel free to post all In/outs, injury news, team list rumours etc but keep the bants for the main thread. Good luck, let's see if we can get this off the ground.

I'll go first. Jake Friend's return has been delayed so those with Verrill's should be safe for the remaining two rounds.

But what is classed as 'news'?

I don't work Fridays and now do 4 day weeks and it's awesome?!?! Stuff like that, and @Honeysetts mod championship status approval ?
Or have I just missed a lot of people off with yet more dribble type banter in the wrong thread ??

Cheers bro I read something about a Penrith youngster getting injured and saw a picture and thought it was Liam Martin, when I clicked on the article it said subscribe.

Broncos actually did sign Stewart Mills from the Sharks in 2013, still Rofl when I think of that.

NRL News:
North Queensland coach Paul Green says Jason Taumalolo will take his place in the side's final match at 1300Smiles Stadium on Thursday night.

Green also said he expected Tom Opacic to pass his final tests after suffering a head knock last week, but wasn't as optimistic for Jake Clifford to make a return.

The Broncos received a scare at training on Wednesday when lock Joe Ofahengaue left training early with what appeared to be a knee injury.

The injury is understood to be at the minor end of the scale. Bench forward Tom Flegler did not train after he felt unwell and was asked to stay away for the day.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy said Will Chambers's chances of returning are growing by the day.

Warriors pair Blake Green and Leeson Ah Mau are in doubt for Friday night's clash against South Sydney with knee concerns.

Warriors coach Stephen Kearney said he will decide after Thursday's captain's run whether Green and Ah Mau will take the field against the Rabbitohs, with both playing only limited roles at training this week.

Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess is expected to play after overcoming a quad injury.

Mostly middle forwards and benchies as expected, the two who should be embarrassed into action are Moylan (very outside chance this week but should be good for a double in R25) and Lachlan Lewis.

Ofahengaue has been officially ruled out by Anthony Siebold

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart announced on Friday morning that forward Joe Tapine will miss another match due to a rib injury.

Tapine was named on the reserves list on Tuesday and Stuart said he was getting closer to a return.

In Titans news, Tanah Boyd will start at halfback against the Dragons on Saturday with Ryley Jacks moving to the bench.

Retiring hooker Robbie Farah, named on the reserves bench in jersey 21, is remarkably on track to return from the broken leg he suffered at ANZ Stadium just 26 days ago.
