Looking back, I got Moses and Wighton after Rnd 3 for my PODdy WAG's team which was in 2500th place at the time, and they're a big reason that team's in 10th now. (Sold Wighton between the byes, but Moses has been a mainstay.)

I'm genuinely surprised I've been able to creep up the ranks without owning Moses, the little brat has been killing it over the last couple of months.

Reckon there is any merit to the argument that’s it’s about who you haven’t owned over last few weeks. Players like tturbo, Cleary, fainu all having slower weeks recently.

100% I've been really lucky that there are a few guys that I don't own that have underperformed that have offset Moses braining it.

Hindsight is telling me Fifita to Moses 5 weeks ago would have been a great trade.

Don't like wishing injuries on people but if Prior's rib injury is more serious than Fifita's knee injury and Fifita then starts I wouldn't be opposed

Well, the injury has already occurred. I just think its in Prior's best interest to sit out this week to let it heal study

Fifita probably still get named on the bench anyway.

He did, and he was big on Bateman!

Trouble is it's like betting on multis at the TAB: doesnt really mean shit if you only hit 2 out of a 10 leg multi!

Sorry to bump a previous question of mine but what do you guys think of the following plan to use my last two trades.

    DBrown to Moses

To'o to Stephen Crichton (if named, otherwise any player at 224k or less)

This gets Moses into my team while letting me keep Fifita, and means I have a top tier 18th man and am not getting left behind by Moses owners. I think I have enough depth to cover other positions with my squad after the trade.

    Cook
    Haas, Papalii
    Jurbo, Lolo, Murray
    SJ, Moses
    Latrell, Bateman
    Wighton, Ponga, Teddy

    CS9, McInnes, Munster, Tevaga

    Fifita, Burns, S Crichton, Walters

I'd consider another red dot instead of Crichton, for reasons (only because I reckon Burns will be fine).. but if you prefer the cover, then I reckon do it.

Only other issue might be Tevaga when Luke is back next week. Seems like he will hold down the 13, but there is definitely a chance he goes back to the bench.

I prefer having as much cover as I can if I've got no trades left, hence Crichton.

As for Tevaga, I reckon he'll keep the 13, but if he does get benched, I can just put Fifita or Burns into the 17.

Agree, unless he breaks before then.

Last Weeks Tips wrote:Here is ST's tips for the week legends!
UPSET: Knights over Eels. Knights form has slumped a fair bit recently but I am expecting them to bounce back into a bit of form in this back end of the year. Eels only just beat a massively under-performing Dragons side and with Fergo still missing they are missing that little oomf from their edges. Ponga and Watson will run riot over the Eels.
CERTAINTY: Manly. Manly. Manly. Too good and firing on all cylinders of late. Too mobile and quick for the Warriors boppers.
SMOKEY CAPTAIN: for me this week would be SJ. Seems to be in the best form he has been in this year plus Kikau and Martin like to miss tackles for fun. If Nikora is running those lines for him and SJ feels like running he will be playing on a training field out there!

After both my Certainty (Manly) and Underdogs (Knights) came unstuck last week at least my smokey captain (SJ) was somewhat a success. This week I can feel it in my nibblets that I will go 3/3.

Certainty - Crowe’s men from Redfern to get all the Chocolates this week. Been struggling of late but with news Surgess and Arey are good to go and Burns is back into full training I think the boys will want to forget about last week’s loss with a big showing against the doggies. Also predicting Gagai for a double.

Upset – Can’t see many upsets this round with all the favourites looking like getting up; however, if there was going to be an upset I can see Warriors getting it down over the Chooks. Warriors played really well last week getting a win over Manly. Don’t be surprised to see CHT retain his spot with Niko off the bench or at 9…. Keep your eye on the Titans as well 

Smokey Captain – Murray! This bloke had a quiet one by his standards last week and with Rabbitohs looking to atone for last week I think it’ll mostly be done up the middle. Cook will find a lot of holes in this Doggies defence and Murray will be looking to penetrate them. Lock in Callum Murray !!!

I expected Moses to have a bit of upside this season, but he's gone above expectation sitting in the halves "overall points" top spot atm
Other players that I didn't expect to gain fantasy elite status this year were Wighton & Milf

John Sutton to announce retirement after this season tomorrow. That will give Souths even more incentive to start firing.

If Reynolds plays we have to carry Allan on the bench in case Reyno goes down then Allan to fullback and Douiehi to halfback.

If Allan is on the bench, means probably more minutes for Cameron Murray.

Moses is insane. Not bringing him in round 11/12 pretty much costs you 100 points minimum on any alternative since then. If I’d understood bye round strategy at all, would’ve got him just for the Origin period at first... like my team was/is trash and could’ve easily afforded a trade.

I was going to do it around Round 14 when Reynolds was injured with his back and I chose to hold Reynolds, now looking back what could’ve been if I got Moses, I’d probs be in the top 450-500 rather than 684.

I was gonna sell Munster to him in round 14, he was gonna miss some games and I wanted Moses. Munster has done well but he's got a lot more 40s in him. Now I'm getting Moses in and hopefully that carries me into the top 50 and L1 next season
