Once again I'm amazed that out of Smith, Cook and Lolo I managed to pick the lowest scoring option for captain. I mean it's not that big a difference but I have a 2/3 chance to not pick the lowest option, the odds are actually in my favour but still I come up dunces.  

I'll have around 11 players for R16 which I'm hoping should give me a little boost in the rankings.  

I had the same problem and chose Smith out of them as well

Hit 900 this week. Just got into the top 1000 with my first year playing all year (Ranked 963). Pretty stocked about that. No trades for me this week. My current R16 players are Smith, TKO, Haas, Milford, RTS, Mclnnes, Mann, Staggs and Moga. Hopefully will rise a few more ranks after this weekend ends. LeSGo!

AFB be going for Crichton/Twal/Tevaga/Matterson type player. What is the opinion on these?

I probably shouldn't make this trade given what's transpired during the week but I'm going CNK to SJ. That means no WFB cover for Ponga in R17 unless I bring in Tommy T as my final gun which I probably have no choice but to do.

95k left over and the plan afterwards is to sell Robson to a cheapie and go Farah to Tommy T. Although based on another big Farah price drop and the possiblity Robson may not gain a whole lot more cash, I think I may have to come up with another plan.

I had two emergency’s, havalli and SJ. Shouldn’t SJ cover for ponga out in the halves, not Havalii? Havalii was first emergency.

Scored 992 mainly thanks to my old mate JFH (had him since day 1) and new recruit SJ.
Will be annoyed if Milf misses rd 16 due to injury or origin. Was really reluctant to bring him in a few weeks ago but did for the bye round.

Twal is the safest imo, not a risk to play origin, isn't being benched anytime soon, has DPP and plays this week. I've had him all year and he is solid as a rock, all the talk of him benefitting from injuries be damned

1. Matterson - proven high mins and high average. Gun status
2. Crichton - use off the bench small concern but most explosive of this lot
3. Twal - PPM beast and looks good to break 50 week in week out
4. Tevaga - would probably number 1 if he could find an 70-80min role but can’t see it

I’d basically go whichever of 1 and 2 is not named on the bench in origin
