    Feels weird going to trade CNK and JFH after 59 and 71 points. With Ponga absence forcing me to buy Mann I'm going to have to forego one of RTS and SJ

    Pre TLT trades are looking like CNK to RTS, JFH to SST, Havili to Coates which leaves 248k ITB to bring back Fifita and get a gun HLF/WFB for Xerri and Watson

    R16 team should look like:
    Smith
    Haas Carrigan
    Matterson(??) SST
    Mann
    Xerri Nikora
    RTS Watson Coates

    McInnes

    The Blues are expected to go with Wade Graham at five-eighth and James Maloney at halfback if Cleary is ruled out, but there is a chance Mitchell Pearce could be chosen.

    That would leave Ryan Matterson to come on to the bench as the utility player.

    Matterson has been a shadow player in the squad all series and has impressed the Blues’ coaching staff with his input and ability, as a utility, to play several positions. (Rothfield)

    No and on paper it'd be a pretty stupid trade. Turbo would play one more game than Ponga and that's assuming Des doesn't rest him after Origin.

    Aside from the 39 against the Storm where the Knights were hammered, his lowest score at fullback has been 51. Trading him out would just be dumb if he's only going to miss 2 weeks.

    Havili -> SJ
    Kenny -> Coates

    Leaves me with 7 trades and the following team for the run home (at least until Fainu and DBrown cap out, or unless I decide to sell Xerri or To'o to Burns in R17)

    Cook
    Fifi, Haas
    Jurbo, Lolo, Murray
    Munster, SJ
    Nikora, Bateman
    Wighton, Teddy, Ponga

    CS9, Fainu, Mahoney, TKO

    Xerri, To'o, DBrown, Coates

    Martin ---> SJ
    Dearden/Maranta ---> Rd16 Cashout (probably Coates)

    and that should be me for the year, sadly. 4 trades for injuries going forwards.

    I honestly have so much cash up my sleeve that I may as well max trade until I have none left and hold an 18th man like Taukeiaho and 19th in Xerri. The benefit in this is that I have 14 players round 16.

    If Ponga is out of State of Origin surely Munster goes to fb and Morgan goes to 5/8. Gagai to centre and Feldt comes in on the wing. Milford or Norman wouldn't be required at all.

    I really think they'd rather keep DCE/Munster halves combo together and move Morgo to fullback.

    As long as Feldt is the one to come in with Gagai to centre. Queensland will get destroyed if Milford or Norman comes in. They can always swap Munster and Morgan between 5/8 and fullback during the game.

    Dilemmas, dilemmas. Only 5 trades left.

    Want to get SJ in but don't want to get rid of CNK.

    Don't want Farah to lose more cash but can't deny 40 extra points could be handy over the bye round. However he's my only viable trade option to get my final gun in R17 though and the cash he loses could make a big difference.

    If I can't get Tommy Turbo in for Farah that's fine as there are other guns but I'll have no WFB cover unless I keep CNK which means no SJ.

    I could sell Farah for SJ and I'll avoid another price drop. I'll lose a R16 player but with Ponga out for R17 it means I gain an extra player for that round. It means forgoing Tommy T in my WFB for the week but I can probably afford anyone I want in R18 to be my final gun.

    I think this is not going to make sense to anyone but me and I'm just typing it out here to get my thoughts organized but essentially it's down to how much is Farah going to score in R16 and how much cash is he going to drop going to be worth potentially not fielding a full team in R17.

    Does Lomax walk straight back into a starting spot? I know Maranta is shit but with Lafai close to returning and Aitken playing well, does he come back into the backline?

    I've only got 6 players next week, 7 if Lomax makes a miraculous recovery. I'm thinking;

    Ponga - Smith
    Havilli - Coates
    Sivo - SJ

    Selling Ponga is stupid but I've already traded Fifita so might as well go balls out.

    Now you mention it, he may not. I've already sold him so no point but Lomax himself said in an interview on Women's Origin night that he was planning to be back in a month and that was a week ago. If they're winning he won't, if they can't win a game he might get a look in.
