Cheers mate. That sneaky little alcohol friend.

Agree the mid-rangers are my next few steps to take care of, but surprised you'd think of doing that now rather than moving on from McCullough. If I upgrade Rochow to Murray, I'm spending most of my cash and would only have $549k to spend in trying to upgrade Isaako. Not enough for Aitken, Mitchell or Dugan to really strengthen the CTR position. So I don't really save a trade as whoever I bring in for Isaako would also be only a stepping stone.

So I guess my options are:

    1) Macca to Smith and Rochow to Dugan. Gives me a better CTR, moves Isaako out of my 17. Gets the cash increase of Dugan.
    2) Macca to Smith and Rochow to Murray. Leaves my CTRs looking crap, but upgrades my 4th Interchange spot from Havili to Murray.

Does anyone have any updates on how long McCullough is meant to be out? 4-6 weeks was the original prognosis I believe.

Yeah, Macca is 4-6, just read that from the Broncs high performance director. That makes him a trade.

Both options look good to me. Probably more inclined to go Murray due to rd13, Burgess being out for a few weeks so potentially increased workload and not likely to play origin.

I'm also in the love-to-trade-Croker-but-to-who boat. I rate both Butcher and Sorenson but they have no job security and could flounder on the bench until origin. I'm leaning slighty more towards Butcher as he is a total weapon and will end up in the team sooner or later, whereas Sorenson I expect will rely a lot more on luck

I got the day off with no plans mate so I'll have a squizz.

I'm just going to start with a list of trades and the order of priority I'd have them in and then we can flesh it out from there.

Croker, Doughy (if named on bench), Kennar, Isaako/Havilii, Nicholls and potentially Widdop (depending on how you rate him).

Ideally, you want to be buying high and selling low. So with that in mind (and the homework you've already done) it would suggest that now is definitely the time to get off Croker. As for who for, it's up to you, but personally, I'd be wanting to generate some cash. All of your bench cows are towards the top end of their ratio. And you need to build some bank with the thought of bringing in some guns in the next month. Maybe you should look at Cogger (risky as hell though as we've recently been discussing) although there are others out there that may be worthwhile as well. Everyone at this price has an element of risk but there is upside to each. Sorenson, Nat Butcher, whoever comes in for Parker at Manly (likely one of the Wrights)or Gelling.

Not saying any one of those players would be a great pick up but each has potential upside, is in the bottom price bracket and should make money, unlike Croker who is set to lose money. Question is, will they make enough to justify the trade?

I view Croker a little differently. He's crap, but he's cheap. So he doesn't really raise enough value to be a useful trade. I put the Kennar/Isaako/Havili group above him in priority just because they can raise more cash to help the team.

In my view, it wouldn't be the worst thing to just carry Croker's $300k price tag on the emergencies and get his few points during round 13 unless a few good cash out options appear.

EDIT dammit no one i definitely want is cheaper than fifita.

I give it 3/4 weeks until Brennan tires of Carty and we get a new cow in Brimson.

Alright boys, let me know any suggestions you might have for my team.

    Smith (c)
    Kikau Arrow
    JTurbo, Rochow, Murray
    DCE JMK
    Hiku Aitken
    Ponga, TTurbo, Isaako

    Cook, JFH, Havili, RFM
    Su'a, Gossie, LCroker, Katoa

I have 350K. I am absolutley torn between Matterson and Fifita in for Rochow. Any help here would be great. I might go LCroker for Cogger merely because LCroker isn't doing anything.

I wouldn't get him if it means missing on Fifi. If Surgess was playing though, that would be a different story.

Rochow to Carty could be okay for me as I don't see any of the other cows worth spending a trade on. Cartwright has talent and could offer something. I think he got over 40 when he played a game a few weeks ago in the halves.

All this talk of a trade worth 150k (roughly) is there a mark for how many points a trade is worth.

Ultimately, im looking to justify bringing in (Back) Smith for Surgess. Means I don't have to play both Havili and Nichols for next two weeks.

    So far ive locked:

    Harris to Aitken
    Surgess to Smith

As im typing this im feeling this is sideways, despite the fact it will improve this weeks score.

    Oh god I need help.

Its a trade of two really-likely-to-be-keepers to two definite keepers. And it gets a points bounce. I'd do it.

But I'm on 21 trades. And I captained JT last week. So maybe listen to other people?

I don't know if this helps but in 2-3 weeks I will be looking at trading both Harris and Surgess in
