This badass this week. Should cover some missing beef in the middle with another big game. Roosters big men don't offer a great deal of tackle breaking, so should just run straight.

Westbrook just averaged a triple double for the 2nd consecutive season, getting 20 rebounds today (as a guard). You would want him in any NBA fantasy team. Go the mighty Thunder Smile

Mearcats wrote:Further to outside backs being held on the bench, I think a lot of it has to do with the way that the game is evolving. Once upon a time teams would carry a bench hooker as cover. With the implementation of less interchanges came the need for bigger guys to do more minutes. Backs were always doing 80.

The problem arises in that if you loose an outside back and have to shift a second rower to that position, say CTR, they can do it but a decent opposition would eat you up in that spot. If you have the luxury of bringing on a specialist that can cover one-five then beauty!

If you get an injury in the forward pack, (be it FRF, 2RF or HKR) then your big guys just have to play a few more minutes. If it's at hooker then you rely on a guy from your second row to cover the spot. Most teams have a backup option (sometimes of dubious quality) in their second row that they can rely on to play rake.

Not saying that it's a perfect theory, I just feel it's the lesser of two evils.

Agree mate. Couple of examples; Bodene Thompson shifted to centre last year mid-game to cover injury and got absolutely demolished. Josh Jackson has also struggled filling in at centre sometimes because he's a 2RF (/Hok)

No problem with still having a lot of trades up your sleeve mate, so long as you aren't missing poignant cash cows along the way. It all depends on how you started out initially. I started out with a fair load of guns, a few of which misfired so i spent trades early to bring in some CC's, give my side some balance and generate a bit of cash flow.

You on the other hand may have started cow heavy and those cows are not yet ripe for the picking.

I actually think I started with a great mix of the bunch.
Only players I have brought in are - Cook, Ponga, Thompson and Rochow (in that order)
My sell have been - French, Lichaa, Godinet and Carty (in that order)

    Team is now

    Cook
    Arrow Kikau
    Jurbo Rochow RFM
    Croker DCE
    Mitchell Isaako
    Ponga Turbo Thompson

    CS9 Havili Lodge TPJ

    Kennar Doui Murray Katoa

108K ITB. I am currently sitting 471. I just feel like I need a trade in there somewhere to bump someone scoring 30 odd points up to someone Averaging 40-50, just don't know who and if they are fully milked yet.

2 trades banked from the first couple of weeks. Really tempted to go Murray and Lodge > Fifita and JFH

    Fifita + JFH = 100+
    Lodge + Maloney = 50-70

    Still not worth the trades?

Hold. Aitken a strong chance for Origin and it's a bit sideways for my liking.

    Rapa Ponga Thompson

    Isaako (Emg) Dufty (out)

What do you think? Otherwise I use him next week to get a second hooker or prop

If I could, I would lol you're going to trade those ones out eventually. Only mediating factor would be Maloney gaining another 100k

@Milfordthemagician Thanks for your thoughts, might hold

I'm far less worried about centres than the rest. Points wise it feels like a light upgrade. Maybe wait to lock in your centres (Bird, Cotric, Panthers may all be good options soon).

Murray and Lodge being traded out bro. Fifita and JFH coming in.

Maloney will be sticking around, if I don't trade Murray I'll be forced to play him, that's why I chucked the calculation in

Good trade this week for points and is even better if Murray is out long term. I reckon if Murray is out for two weeks those trades are gold. I'd do that if you don't have issues elsewhere

For Aitken to play Origin, NSW would need to pick players in their preferred positions. And why do that when we can play 9 fullbacks? /s

As an alternative to Fifita, quite keen on Turbo/Edwards at 715k, will allow me to go RFM/Griffin > Surgess in one trade next week.

    Thoughts?
