Bring on round 2, so I can have a new biggest regret of the year

I'm in the same boat mate. Kikau and Thompson for me, join me. Doueihi can come in next week.

What are you expecting Thompson to average over say the next 4-6 weeks because clearly I have no idea? (Not including his 60 this week)

I'll be happy if he replicates the 28-30 he averaged at the dogs. make $100k and then cash him out when someone cheap and useful appears (ideally after playing in R13 bye)

I was going to get Murray in, but with his current BE I can afford to wait another week.

Oh okay I was thinking the same. I worked out that if he does average 28 but gets another 40+ score in there, might even make $150k which is my rough criteria for trading him in.

So is Arey out for 2-3 or 4-6? NRL.com says 2-3 but DT says 4-6... which is it?

@MilfordTheMagician take your pick! He has surgery, right? Did they specify what it was? If it’s meniscus probably 4 weeks.

Aren't they both centres? Could be great for the starting forwards

Fine is a backrower as well.

Already have a lot of the guys that people are trading in like Murray, Kikau, Griffen, RFM and Kennar so the addition Doueihi and Thompson should provide plenty of cash generation which is what it's all about at the start. Hopefully if I get my bench and captain right I can have a much better week.

NRL Physio tweeted that the surgery ARey had would usually result in 4-6 weeks

Adam Reynolds had "clean out" surgery on his knee, expected to miss the next 4 weeks. Usually 4-6 weeks to recover from arthroscopic meniscectomy (keyhole surgery to trim meniscus injury in knee), likely what Reynolds is dealing with

Doesn't seem like he 100% knows all the details going by that tweet so I'm not sure about this.

I'm not sure about Lodge up against that Cowboys pack. I can see some more dumb

mistakes and overdoing it. I might move Douehi in, Cartwright to bench, SST to front

row and Lodge to EMG. this round. I am counting on Douehi having a good round in the spirit

of the other cut price players who overachieved first round.

Oh come now, you think Lodge is going to do something stupid? Not his go mate!
But to be fair I'd wager those changes you make would at worst give you the same score with the possibility of a better score.

I'd prefer an out and out halfback. You look at the best 7's in the league and they're natural halfbacks (JT, Cronk, Cleary, DCE, SJ etc). Nikorima showed signs last season but I said it as soon as Hunt signed with the Dragons; Nikorima will play next year and we will be worse in 2018.

It's only 1 game so I'm not going to give the season up already but there needs to be a massive improvement this week. No better game to prove yourselves than in a derby.

    Thoughts on either

    Lichaa/SST to Griffin
    Katoa to Thompson

    Or

    Katoa to Doughy

Can't go Katoa to Thompson without getting some cash elsewhere.
