779 for a round 1 score, not too bad was hopeing for the 800 though.

Although had Kikau & Kennar in 18/19 position could of used them instead of Hiku/Nicholls.

Thinking RTS may be a better option this year then TTurbo. RTS looks pumped this year. What are your thoughts in TTurbo vs RTS

821 for the week and a rank of 471 is a pretty good start. Happy with the decision to swap Merrin in for Brown at the last minute, so have plenty of cash.

Pretty keen on Sam Williams actually

5 week weighted average in Fantasy. And prices change from the start. No 2 free looks like you get in SC.

If you have Katoa starting, and Isaako and Kennar on your bench, here is how to game the AE system.

Play Katoa as a starter. Isaako at 20, and Kennar at 21 (assuming no other WFB on your bench)
Whoever is at 19 should play after the Broncos.

Broncos play Friday night, so after the game, have a look at Isaako's score and decide if you want it or not.
If it's good enough, do nothing and Isaako will sub for Katoa.
If Isaako goes poorly, swap Kennar into 19, and you'll get his score instead. I'd Kennar also sucks, well you were probably stuffed anyway.

I managed 826 in the end. Ranked 347, which is my best ever start.  Croft, Katoa, Cartwright stank it up and McInnes Captain was below par. Happy with that and managed to miss a few of the dud rookies. Katoa is the only trade I’m looking at.

    Pretty solid start... 754
I see a lot of upside to the team... SST, Lodge, Arrow, Croft, GI and Teddy will only improve.
Loved having RFM, Rochow, Griffin, Cook, Kikau...
Whitehead doing well despite being moved around like Maubs Love
GI-Jayne showing promise as a centre pairing.
Katoa Rip the only real blemish

When the round had finished and Whitehead was listed as DNP in my 17 it had Croker "un-greyed out" as an emergency. Croker was #5 on my bench and also my lowest score out of my emergencies, but he definitely isn't a 2RF.

Was he picked because he was my first emergency, or was he picked because he was the lowest score? I thought this shit was all changing depending on position.

Did you have a 2rf in your 14-17?? If so then that player moves into your 13 and number 18 moves into the 14-17.

    Hope that made sense

    New Price = (0.75* Previous Price + MN*0.25)*((Score 1*5+Score 2*4+Score 3*3+Score 4*2+Score5*1)/15) where score 1 is most recent game and score 5 is 5 games ago.

Edit looks like Milchy beat me to it

Only trades I'm looking at is Katoa>Tanginoa and Havili>Sam Williams

Not great job security for either but they look best of the bunch in that price range

Ok so I downloaded a spreadsheet from a few years ago in that thread.

The formula appears to be essentially:
The last 5 weeks scores weighted average with heavier weighting on the most recent score (5) than the one 5 weeks ago (1), a multiplier of 0.75 for the current salary and 0.25 for the last 5 weeks weighted score and multiplied by the magic number.

    Quick questions:
    a) is this still the same now?
    b) what is the current magic number?
    c) what happens after round 2 for example where there isn't a 5 round average, how is the weighting done then?

    Thanks for the assistance!

    My starting 13 average = 40.61

    fourteen to seventeen = 45.75

    eighteen to twenty-one = 49.00

the starting 13 included captain cam. I will make cash this round but I will be stuck with a lowly score of 711 and well down the list already.

If I had my best performing l line-up in the 1-17 I make an extra 110 points.

    a) Given prices haven't changed yet this year, we can't say for sure they haven't changed it. But its a good assumption, and I'd be surpised if they changed.
    b) Original magic number was ~14645. $15,000 per point is a good estimate for rough calculations
    c) Any time a player hasn't played 5 games, the "missing" games are calculated as their starting price / MN. So 15.5 for $228k base price players for example.
