    That went under the radar

Since _that_ David Fifita plays in the Super League and his wife's in jail, it would be impressive to turn out for Brisbane.

_This_ David Fifita is a junior Bronco, no doubt who we'll to lose to another team who can't develop their own talent to save themselves.

Ah ok so two blokes with the same name.
Fair enough though mate, its possible if not likely.
Maybe if the bronco's stopped buying other club's promising young players, they would be able to focus on their own local juniors?

    hehe

Yeah I did a double take when I first read it. It’s a pretty obscure name too to be the same. It’s not like a Michael Smith or something

the biggest story to come out of last night was Darryn Lockyer's comeback.

No not on the field, but his hairline has certainly come out of retirement

I was watching in a pub with the sound off and when he was side on interviewing Croft I didn’t recognise him at all! Not till he turned face on

Has anyone noticed that the Bonzos haven’t won anything for over a decade? Coincidentally, that’s when they cracked down on the salary cap. Just an observation.

Pretty funny. It's since been changed back, but apparently this is OK

Lodge was representing the NSW under-20s side when he was given a 3-week suspension after he was televised with the word "cunt" clearly written on his wrist strapping.[3][4][5]

At least Pissy Parker served his time. Lodge hasn't paid a cent.

not for lack of trying, he's contacted them multiple times trying to broker compensation but got knocked back, apparently they want one big $1.6 million lump sum payment.

as an aside, i love how they've framed the CCTV as a 'violent rampage', Lodge is walking around and throwing punches like he has wet noodles for limbs and i'm supposed to believe that family was in grave danger? no wonder he caused so much property damage, knocking over inanimate objects was all he was capable of in that state.

The salary cap must have come into effect in 1972 then. Took South Sydney 43 years to win a Premiership. Lets hope it isn't that long for the Brisbane Broncos.

Hadn't heard about the lump sum. But pretty sure in my younger days I've matched that video with no intent and drank with the bloke the next day

Is this the Broncos thread or a thread to roast the Broncos I can't tell.

Anyway how the fuck is Su'A playing round 1? Do we seriously not have anyone better to take the last bench spot ffs.
