I would like to see Sutto take Robbies place on the bench, when Murray and Crichton are back with Clark filling in at DH if need be

There was a rumour that Barrett wanted Koroisau to play 80 minutes so it sounds like that is the case. Mind you if he plays 80 minutes I can see him missing 10 tackles a game haha.

He played 80 minutes quite a few times last year and did not necessarily score better in those games. There are better and cheaper hooker options out there, even with this news

lewis brown could creep in come season start. just looked at korosaus stats in 80 mins

he averages 46 when playing 80 mins at hooker over the last 3 years and is priced at 43. his avg however, goes up to 49 if you include 70min+ games.

also is kasiano good enough to crack the 17 at the storm? would have to displace welch or bsmith. i think nas and kbrom are more certain

I am not so sure about that. Looking purely on a states, what they are currently priced at and potential, Kane Evans seems a better option and there are not shortage of people bagging him.

The real winner will be Taupau. I have made room for him in my team

I reckon AFB is a good shout but realistically after 2-3 rounds lussick will be back. Martin Taupau however might benefit in the long term. Gun FRF (1 of only 3 FRF over 50 avg) and can see him playing slightly more minutes and plays round 13, whats not to love (I guess the inevitable suspension).

So Nicholls an option in the 2nd row or just as a cheap money maker in the 18-21

Depends how he goes in Charity Shield and then if named to start definitely an option for the 17. But I would have at least 3 other second rowers in 17 so he could be a benchie round 1 and then out of 17 if need be in later rounds.

Don't think I can start with Murray now as I feel even if he does start round 1 he may not see anymore than 45-50 mins.

Does he even make the 17 when Souths are at full strength. I don't think he does.

He's filling in for Bird & I think Bird is nearly gtg but could be wrong. Maybe he gets 1-3 weeks.

I reckon that's a dead easy call. Whitehead is a dependable minute player in a settled team, with room to improve from a better position.

Harris is a former gun who's taken the money to go to the League's worst team in a pack of disarray, where his ability to TB off quality halves disappears.

One has upside risk, the other only down. I'm taking Whitehead all day.

I've not decided either way but Harris will be running off the "quality halve" of Green with whom he had season averages of 55.5 and 50.2 despite competing with Cronk on the other side. Disregard him at your peril.

Dylan Walker still a month or so away. Anyone else who could force their way into the team?
Parker and Tom Wright are fighting it out with Matthew Wright for Walkers centre spot. Looks like Matt Wright is in front, and he would probably be goal kicker.
Lloyd Perrett is the other who might come into the team.

What do we think the Tigs pack will look like?  Surely he'd be locked in for an 80 second row spot.

I haven't read ahead and others will know better but Tigers I think actually have some competition there depending on team make up, hooker fitness etc. Lawrence, Mcqueen, Taylor, Aloiai, even Felise Eisenhuth and Sue

Yeah maybe AFB can replace RCG so I can upgrade JFH and RFM if needs be. Shocked

I think you are right but it suggests that he is first off the rank and if he can get a couple of games and then the inevitable HIA boost seems like a decent shout in the emergencies?

The one game he scored two tries he only played 55 minutes. The rest are on par for a mobile 2nd rower. The interesting thing is the tackle breaks that he racked up. That is what is more interesting. Nathan Brown seems to have found his way into every team, however I think his 80 mnute games last year will not be the standard and he will eventually play around 65 and average what he is priced at.

I think Moeroa will play some time in the middle during games and Kenny Edwards will step up with bigger minutes. I have been looking for Nathan Brown alternatives as a POD. Every man and his dog has him but he does not necessarily have a guaranteed upside, even though he is a fantastic player.

Pretty sure I've already posted and can't quite remember exactly, but Brown's priced at 52 but averaged 58 starting at lock, but he actually even averaged better when you remove games he "played 80" in. I couldn't care less if he plays 80. Most lock's don't. But most locks won't average the 60 points that he will.

Edit: yep removing his one injury game, he averaged 59.8 starting at lock in eleven games less than 80 minutes. Some of those with sore rib cartilage. Points are the objective, not minutes. That said roles can change, and also I have no opinion yet on the guy who you were originally talking about.
