Nope, I've probably been in the top 3 or 5000 at best (I genuinely can't remember). Not suggesting it to anyone else, I just try to go with value/pod types and this year it's perfect as there are many options at hooker.

Thoughts on the team bar not having Smith?

While you try and focus on value/POD types I think you need to include Smith in your squad this year. As you have said yourself you have never been higher then the top 3-5000 in rankings. If you want to go to the next level I think you need a consistent Captain option and the player who consistently scores 60+ week in/week out.

Aside from that I am intrigued by your Mansour/Winterstein picks. Do you seem them improving on their previous average? If so for what reason?

Players 14-21 & trying to cover all positions is what I'm struggling with. My point is I'll probably have to go with Evans or Latu for a decent frf backup. That's fine but I can go for a slightly dearer 2fr instead who'll score an extra 10-15 points as I don't expect Evans or Latu to score that well whereas someone like RFM could be scoring mid 40's. I might just go with 2 frf's & risk them not getting injured.

Show of hands. Who would be keen on another NRL Fantasy Fanatics Eliminator? Doesn't seem as though NRL Fantasy will be running one this year (what a surprise..)

Front Row stocks looking like this

    Lodge, Papalii, Hipgrave, Kikau

    Thinking of getting Alvaro,

but need a reserve prop around 400k

possibly Paasi with his potentially a starting second rower position with the warriors and 50-65 minutes playing time.

    Not sure though any suggestions?

I've been looking at Paasi as well, hard to see how the warriors forward pack is actually going to line-up though, just have to wait for those round 1 team sheets I guess Smile

    Hey lads,

First chance I've had at putting a side together this year, found it much harder than previous years. The new format, new pricing, fewer DPP's and the uncertainty of the roles/performance of some players at their new clubs made it all the more difficult.

This is the side I have now with 42k ITB.

    C.Smith
    J.Bromwich, A. Paasi
    T. Harris, C. Murray,  NAS
    C. Cronk, L.Croker
    J. Hayne,  T. Milne
    J. Tedesco, K. Ponga, G. Inglis

    M.Lichaa
    M. Lodge
    J. Arrow
    B. Cartwright

    P. Hiku
    C. Garvey
    K. Hipgrave
    R. Kennar

Don't have great cover for my halves but I guess I probably wont be the only one and limited DPP's are also a concern.

Also have a question about guys that are running with a 3 hooker bench. It doesn't really leave enough spots for decent replacements to cover all the other positions in case of injury/suspension. Thoughts?

Personally had a lot going on at the back end of last year. Sold business, change of career, holidays etc among other things. Sometimes Fantasy has to take a backseat to real life stuff.

Has anyone seen/heard how the Warriors are training? Sure hope Mannering stays at #13.

    Cheers,

You think with Youi sponsoring things there would be pretty prizes.

Being someone in the industry their insurance is an absolute joke.

I haven't but I think Mannering might be rested a bit more this year & may not play 80 minutes every game. I have nothing to back this up though.

I'm surprised NRL Fantasy isn't sponsored by IKEA. Build your own prizes..

Nothing confirmed here really, I think Blair will be staying at prop, which leaves the lock spot to Mannering. But with no real lock in for the right side second rower (Likely Paasi or Pulu, potentially someone like Love-Henry/Afoa), I wouldn't be surprised to see him go back to the second row with Paasi and Pulu sharing the 13 jumper..

So in other words, wait for trials bounce

I seriously think if we really tried we could match their prize "money" just within our tight knit group.
