I was thinking of captaining Vaughan and taking a big risk but I decided to captain Taumalolo instead. The reason? I just didn't want to wait until the last game of the round for my C to play.

I hate to bring it up but in the penultimate round I have closed the gap to first place to 48 points. Oh my word what could have been if A Rey had stayed on the field. I mean they were getting destroyed but at least he could have put up like 25 points or something. This is all your fault Munster.

I mean I scored 906 points despite Scott, A Rey and Edwards scores.

I cracked 1k last week for the first time this year but indecision and last minute player and captain changes have cost me 3 consecutive 1000+ scores.

Sad to see another season coming to an end, I'm still aiming for a top 100 finish if all goes well and hopefully I'll do well enough to take out the L2 grandfinal next week.

3 consecutive 1000+ scores would have been a real feat!

I haven't hit the 1000 this season Sad

Honeysett on a 6 match winning streak in the Mod league is into the Grand Final after belting The Kung Fu Panda. (940 - 815, final scores pending)

SI is the representative to try and restore from prides amongst the mods, pantsing Welshy (875 - 660)

Our reporters caught up with SI for the pre match interview and here's what he had to say "Aww look, we'll have a good talk when we get back to training tomorrow morning. Watch some video of the Summertime Kids. See what they did good this week and what we didn't do so well. It's a new game, you know, you're only as good as your last. They are playing well, but if we turn up we'll give it a shake." A very diplomatic answer from the reserved and respected SI.

Honeysett was a bit more feisty with his answer when asked what he thought the outcome would be. "Yeah, look, cunts fucked. This is a young man's game now. Out with the old and in with the new and the future is now old man. We dusted them in Round 19 and they've shown me nothing since then that would make me think the result with change. At the end of the day, I've made the rest of the mods my bitch and SI will be no different. Will I beat this motherfucker? ... Si! Si! Si!" Strong words from a tall, handsome man.

Will SI get the W and defend the rest of the mods pride? Or will Honeysett shame them all and have the last laugh? Find out this weekend!

Up late at night wondering what could have been if I'd just punted Burgess into the stratosphere long before Round 24. Deadset aside from the 74 the week I bought him, he never scored more than 50+ the entire rest of the time I owned him.

Let's say I showed good trigger discipline in finally learning to hold a trade until the dying rounds. However when I finally used it because I'd had a gutful of his ribs I essentially just made the trade 6 weeks too late.

Oh well hindsight is always 20/20 but looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.

Remember you're not looking for someone who will average well, you're looking at a player who will score one good score this round.

Vunivalu could go another 100 pointer against the Raiders.
Dufty could carve up the doggies.
Radradra could surpass Suli's tonne against the Rabbitohs.
There are loads of good options, its just a matter of picking the right one. A lot of luck.

Last year I hit 1000+ I think four times in a row, and this year, haven't hit it once.

Surprising to see I am in the grand final of the L1 Select league. Up against Zazu Knights so could be close, although I'll be playing 2 Raiders backs again at least, so I could be burnt by them big time this week.

Pending team I will look something like this

    Smith (McInnes)
    Taupau, NBrown (Vaughan)
    Gallen, Crichton, (JDB)
    Pearce, Cleary (Munster)
    Scott, TTurbo
    Tedesco, Dedwards, Dufty

    bench: Fuimaono, LeBrown, Leilua

Fuimaono probably come in if Dedwards is out.
Leilua 18th man to cover AEs until Saturday night then after that I will cop an AE.

Probably not Rapa. I'd go big Semi against the Rabbits.
