True, the cash out, if they score bye round points would just be a bonus. It was the 5~10 points per round extra you might get from a future upgrade that I was angling towards. That would easily cover the score you would otehrwise get from a bye friendly mid-ranger that wont otherwise see ur starting team for the rest of the season.

With 4 NPR's, 4 Rabbitohs for next week I'm already looking at 17 to choose from so someone like JBrom/Bukuya could fill the void for the rest of origin. Maybe Jbrom could be worth the gamble.

on your trades. i think they all look very similar. personally i would lean towards alvaro with his consistent minutes and form looking steady

i went the gurgess route because he was a cheaper option than the other guys you mentioned. negatives are he only scored 23 last week, which doesnt bode well for the next two bye rounds + he also misses next week which could be an issue

not sure how youre travelling money wise, but if you did go this option you could possibly bring in taupau the following week which may work out better for your 17 in the long run.

there are 11 full rounds left to play excluding the byes (for manly, knights, panthers). so if you bring in a player from these teams that averages higher than 10 points of a current player eg. taupau over merrin/whitehead. it works out better than bringing in a 40 point player who only scores in your 17 for two bye rounds.

what im saying is gurgess could be a viable option over jbrom/alvaro if it gives you money to upgrade to a better gun next week. negatives are, he will be a poorer backup than the guys you mentioned

    ^^THIS^^

A much better articulated version of what I was trying to get at! Smile

Hoping the Aaron Gray to Sharks rumours are true. Was personally hoping we would chase him.

That London fire looks terrible. There would be tonnes of people in the building if the fire started in the middle of the night.
Hope they can get a lot of people out, but looks like its going to be bad.

I didn't realise Norman still pumped out a 43 last week! 21 tackles, 0 misses, 2 TB's, 228 KM's and 100M's. Would have have 49 but 2 errors and a penalty. In a badly beaten side with a shit number 7 next to him, that's pretty damn good. I think he's still worth looking at with Moses there.

Yeah I dont know man. JBrom looked great for 5 minutes last week and then he did jack for the rest of the time he was on the park. I have him, but Im not convinced he is going to provide anything more than 30 to 40 PPG.

Its hard to say without spending a bit of time looking at ur team, ur cash, your plan moving forward, and the # of trades you have left, but my hunch is focusing more on the end game might work out better for you long term given the guys you have in tehre already (which is a really solid team!).

You will for example be desperate for some cash to upgrade if Graham doesnt improve. Its possible that Taupau outscores him by 10 maybe even more points per game. After this week Taupau has 11 games left, Graham 10. Therefore Graham will need to outscore him by 5 PPG give or take just to break even. I'd say it will be the other way around (and at least 5 points) in which case Taupau outscores Graham by ~100 minimum over the rest of the season. Thats way more than you'll get out of a bye friendly mid-ranger isnt it?

I hope Im coming across as helpful mate, just trying to offer an alternative to consider.

Whilst it can be nice to daydream about your players getting no negatives, very few players regularly go without any mistakes at all.

Hoping/expecting players to continue to get all their scoring plays without dropping any points at all along the way will only lead to frustration. Just hope they keep everything to a manageable number

Unlike, for example, my trade in for last week, Nathan Cleary, who celebrated his promotion to my team with a Carter award winning performance. That shit can fuck right off

Yeah I know, it's probably a bit silly to pinpoint stuff like that out.  Still 43 for how the game went was solid.

I am still looking at Cleary, lucky he got that try mate.

EDIT: I just looked at Cleary's stats for last week! affraid

One of the reasons my bye numbers are so shite, is because no eel is worth owning or a keeper

Brown isn't a keeper? i reckon he is. Norman may end up being one too

Oh Jesus, just read about it, terrible stuff. that's just near where we live, when we left the house this morning there were some crazy black clouds hanging low, but I thought it was just sleep deprivation

Glad you're not involved, mate! Scary how easily this can happen when you have poor fire standards in high-density dwellings.

Is Milford worth keeping for the run home in the hope he comes back early?

Crazy man. Lucky you're not any closer to it. It's going to be a horrible outcome.
