True, the cash out, if they score bye round points would just be a bonus. It was the 5~10 points per round extra you might get from a future upgrade that I was angling towards. That would easily cover the score you would otehrwise get from a bye friendly mid-ranger that wont otherwise see ur starting team for the rest of the season.
pm888 wrote:@Warriors hey mate, was wondering where you went. you had good advice/opinions earlier in the year
on your trades. i think they all look very similar. personally i would lean towards alvaro with his consistent minutes and form looking steady
i went the gurgess route because he was a cheaper option than the other guys you mentioned. negatives are he only scored 23 last week, which doesnt bode well for the next two bye rounds + he also misses next week which could be an issue
not sure how youre travelling money wise, but if you did go this option you could possibly bring in taupau the following week which may work out better for your 17 in the long run.
there are 11 full rounds left to play excluding the byes (for manly, knights, panthers). so if you bring in a player from these teams that averages higher than 10 points of a current player eg. taupau over merrin/whitehead. it works out better than bringing in a 40 point player who only scores in your 17 for two bye rounds.
what im saying is gurgess could be a viable option over jbrom/alvaro if it gives you money to upgrade to a better gun next week. negatives are, he will be a poorer backup than the guys you mentioned

With 4 NPR's, 4 Rabbitohs for next week I'm already looking at 17 to choose from so someone like JBrom/Bukuya could fill the void for the rest of origin. Maybe Jbrom could be worth the gamble.

In a badly beaten side with a shit number 7 next to him, that's pretty damn good. I think he's still worth looking at with Moses there.

Whilst it can be nice to daydream about your players getting no negatives, very few players regularly go without any mistakes at all.
Hoping/expecting players to continue to get all their scoring plays without dropping any points at all along the way will only lead to frustration. Just hope they keep everything to a manageable number
Unlike, for example, my trade in for last week, Nathan Cleary, who celebrated his promotion to my team with a Carter award winning performance. That shit can fuck right off

Who on earth owns a lot of eels. Who are they?
One of the reasons my bye numbers are so shite, is because no eel is worth owning or a keeper
Got both and at this stage I consider both keepers in my team.lukeaye wrote:
Brown isn't a keeper? i reckon he is. Norman may end up being one too
