I originally had Kelly slated but hes a warm body for Rd18 at this stage and would rather not jeopordise that. Will still probably go Hayne > Nofo as it gives me a Rd15 gun a longt with Munster and happy to have him as a POD in my final squad.

    3 Trades next week:
    Whitehead > Finucane
    Milf > Arey/Walker
    Cotric > Holmes

Gives me 15 and 17 for Rd15 and 16 respectively

I'd be interested to hear what other more experienced players say but to me those trades all look very sideways for the sake of a player here and there for a couple bye rounds.

My strategy, for better or for worse, is to target gun keepers that have good remaining bye schedules. Lolo, Munster now, Merrin after 15, etc. I'd question whether any of those guys you are considering bringing in are keepers at this stage?

Not sure if that helps mate, but perhaps some others will offer their opinion!

    Cheers for the thoughts RT.

Do you not consider Nofo a keeper, or are you talking about the next 3 planned trades?
Bringing in Lolo is a possibility but it's a huge chunk of cash

Was talking about the next 3.

To be honest I've not watched much of Nofo so cant really comment. But his scores suggest he's a keeper and a massive POD considering. So on the face of it he seems like a good option. Tigers are a concern though but he seems to rack up scores regardless.

Have a read of the pros and cons of Lolo written up by BroncHose. Its a very astute right up IMO and I dont think you can go wrong with either. So with that in mind I think your $ position and future plans will determine which option to take. If you have the cash go Lolo, if things are tight then Merrin. The latter is a bigger risk but could be a bigger reward too!

Can do Yates > Lolo, leaves me 80k in the bank. Front row and second row coming together nicely at the expense of my backs though.

I don't really have the trade to spend, but with halves of SJ, CNK, CWalker and  NuBrown I might take this opportunity to dump BAbbey and bring CNK down to WFB to allow future DPP moves with CWalker

(I'm going to keep the faith with Walker, think he'll rebound from his slump)

The 2016 game at halfback he played 16 mins in that position and rest at fullback fwiw

Whiteheads bye schedule is workin its way to an end. Whitehead to Taumalolo leaves me 200k in the bank

    Trades are
    Niko > Munster
    Whitehead > Taumalolo

Two early season stepping stones into keepers, looking better?

Ideally he doesn't play. I'm worried how much cash he'll lose I'm considering dg him if he starts to Gurgess which frees up +260k gives decent bye cover still, let's me loophole but means I have to cop Niko score and price drop. Risky

I did Whitehead>Merrin as soon as lockout lifted. Niko>Munster is contingent on Brown not starting

I was lucky enough to miss out on the Brown/Graham debacle recently so no injuries to worry about lets me focus on bye trades.

    Why Merrin over Lolo?

Thanks mate, that's kind of what I was thinking. I could ditch Ponga for him, but he was going to become Nofo in 15.

Like others have said, there's no way you trade Crichton bro!

I'd definitely shift on Moga, and I think you could lose CNK too. Kearney has basically said injury is the only way this kid gets back in (in the near future), perhaps a few more loses in a row might bring him back too, but either way that's too late for you.

As an idea, how about CNK to Edwards (gets you a bye player for 18 and the kid could turn out to be a better option that semi/RTs/Slater to start anyway).
That gives you 83k to upgrade Moga who is currently 312k (so max spend $395k)
Options include Hopoate ($393), Croker ($363), Hurrell ($344k) who would all br prety nice PODs. Hurrell best in terms of bye schedule and would leave you $50k to work with next week.

That's what I'd look at on first looks anyway mate! Definitely think you should move Moga though!

Hey guys - wondering who people think are the most likely chages to Origin sides for next week should:

    1) QLD lose
    2) NSW lose

I get that it probably depends on how the games play out but if you had to pick one or two guys to come in to the losing side who would they be?
