Honestly 7 overall for the run home isn't bad, but I wouldn't necessarily use the trades just because you have them. Like don't trade someone out one week and back in the next just because of byes.
I'll be using them to maximise rd 15 and 18 with season keepers

Also is Yates or CHN the priority trade out?
Yates with a BE of 22 and CHN a BE of 55.

I'd say CHN should go before Yates

I personally think they are both sells. With that in mind CHN would be first due to his BE and his value. I sold him two rounds back but if I held him now he would be the first cab off the ranks to sell this week (he's now the same price as he was then too!). He hasn't scored well now for 3 rounds straight and I think you can get better bang for your buck with someone else, not to mention his Bye schedule is not conducive to hold either....

I'd dump yates too as soon as you can - with guys coming back from injury in the Knights, the rise of Stone it seems his money could be put elsewhere too. (between the two of them you could pick up Lolo next round for example (after his Bye), or maybe go value with someone like Merrin?

CHN being sold like hot cakes. I think most expect another sub 30 score next time.
I need to cashout Idris, no way his spot is an upgrade. Absolutely no one to go to accept a total cashout. Spot killed.

With Fisher Harris, Yeo and Cartwright all injured, CHN may not be used for decoys all the time like he has been. He may get back to earning a few TB's.
In saying that he's on my chopping block too.

Connor Watson is intriguing. Too bad he's a terrible AE problem.
Averages 41 when he gets 20+ minutes, guessing that was at hooker due to the tackle count.

Ive not been spending too much time on my team but wondering what you guys think of my trades for this week?

I took a punt last week and cashed out a couple players leaving ~550k on the sidelines, got lucky and still got 870.

here's my team as it stands:

    Smith Brailey
    Tolman Fai Wallace McGuire
Surgess Chricton JDB Whitehead Elliot Fuimaono
    Cleary Munster CNK Fogerty
SMat D Walker R Jennings Kelly
    Slater RTS Suli Burns MWZ

Currently have trades pencilled in of:
    Jennings to Gallen via Fuimaono
    Fogerty to Walker
    Smith to Friend

Leaves 55k for next week where I plan to bring in Merrin for Whitehead.

Does that look ok or does someone have a better alternative??

I thought the same but last week vs the Knights, where those 3 were injured, decoy plays was basically all CHN was used for. There was very little plays set up for him to rampage on. His defense is terrible aswell, I'm happy to give him the flick this week

I don't even know what his natural position is but I'd say it's a half so Keary. I think he can play hooker as well so Friend.

I'm very tempted to get him instead of NuBrown, but his single digit 10 minute cameos scare me

    Did Sydney win then?

Liverpool started with Firmino, Sturridge and a few other first teamers. Cruised to a 3-0 lead. Then at half time both teams put their youth squad (and Steve McManaman) out and nothing else happened. Sydney were missing quite a few players too, our season finished a couple of weeks ago and most of our foreign players had gone back home

I've still got Ponga, but only because there aren't enough trades in a week to do it all.

I think next week is the week I cash him out, and upgrade one of Hayne or Niko to Munster.

Guys talk about AE nightmares but in the years I've played NRL fantasy, I've never had a problem with AE from crap players. I reckon Watson is worth the extra $50k spent if you're looking for a cashout in the halves since it may give you a gun scorer for 2 bye rounds.

With literally everyone seeming to be going Smith to Friend (also my planned trade) I'm very tempted to reverse and go Hodgson.

Haha, yeah mate, Im a bit surprised too. Perhaps the rush is in part based on his biggish score last week??

I mean if you run the numbers there's not a huge gain to be honest in having Friend over Smith in terms of points (although of course it depends on the make up of your team and most importantly the assumptions you make about their scoring moving forward).

The key for me in pulling the trigger was the opportunity cost of the $ tied up in Smith. Thats $140k that can be used to get Lolo or perhaps even better Merrin next week for example. Or start upgrading some outside backs for those that have already got their forwards sorted...

But yeah I feel u. Perhaps Hodgson is the way to go for a POD??

This might have already been asked but - when do players on a bye lock out?

My halves are Walker, Johnson (C), Frawley, Munster

If Munster locks out then that means I can't loophole huh?
